Some people in the rag trade are doing something about this. Google "modest clothing" and various lines and designers come up. Here's a link to Christa Taylor's site

| I totally agree - I hate buying shorts because everything in my waste size is so friggin short. In order to find a pair that is a decent length, I have to go up 3 sizes and then the shorts fall off! Totally annoying... |

Thanks sean barr, I will check that out.
Meredith, see what I mean. What are they thinking. We need to start a clothing line for real women who want to look decent with a little sex appeal. Ha! |

| Great post. I too have a hard time finding clothes that fit right..Either too tight or toooooooooo short for me....Whatever happened to just my size in every area???I mean the jeans fit the butt just right and the shirt hides every thing. Now my spare tire around the gut is showing in all my clothes.....I am glad though they are making the shirts a little longer for the young ones... |

| I like the shorts from JCPenney made by Erika. They are very comfortable and come in sizes S-XL. They feature an elastic waist with a drawstring. Might not be fancy enough for a special occasion but for running errands and normal day to day stuff they are perfect. The selection can be limited in the store ... more styles and colors are in the JCPenney Spring and Summer Catalog. Peace. |
