Peace has fallen on our household once again. We are preparing to take our daughter back to college in the morning. Packing all her necessities/clothes/books etc. for the trek back. She has done a great job of preparing for her junior year. Hopefully we will have her in and settled by 4 pm. tomorrow so we can head home and prepare for our work week.
Tonight we have a local BMX race, which is always fun. I so enjoy watching the little ones on the track. We have 4/5 yr olds racing on little bitty bikes..It is the cutest thing. Our son races in 17/18 expert class..which is a very cut throat, fast class..also fun to watch. We have made many friends at the track and I consider this a big social outlet for me..especially since I work at home.
How about Team USA in BMX. Jill Kintner took home the Bronze and Mike Day took home Silver, with Donny Robinson taking home the Bronze. Not bad for our first Olympics. Did anyone catch the races? They were awesome! Lasting only 34 seconds each..they were also fast...Ha!
Hubby and I just returned from breakfast where we touched lightly on our week long disagreements. We both realize that our lives together are intertwined forever. We have 2 beautiful young adult children who need their homelife to be calm. Noone is served by constant arguing and all of our nerves are shot by the tense atmosphere we have surrounded ourselves with. We will work on this together..possibly when our daughter returns to school and our lives settle down some, we will do better.
Hubby has gone to the funeral home as one of his friends at work lost his brother. I am coloring my hair..to cover the gray..yikes..I am getting old. I love my hairdresser..as he went with me to Sally's Beauty Supply and showed me what to buy to color my own hair..Saving me 85.00 each time..WOOT!!! Times are hard, and taking care of my own hair, nails etc. just saves so much money.

thanks for the advice
I have a junior in college also
and now a freshman in college
one graduated
and one in highschool
you would think Id have the hang of this by now!

I love Sally's - I buy all of my coloring products there and do it myself, too. Had that FUZE drink today - mmmmm!
Glad things are back to a good status with you two again. We go through our things..but we have realized there is NO WAY we'll ever be apart...no matter what. We just know each other too well and can't see being with anyone else. It's really a cool thing when you can get to that point with a person.

Sounds like all that praying paid off and everything got situated with your daughter's schooling. Glad you and hubby had a heart to heart and are back on track. We all need to save money until this economy turns around....let's hope that's soon!!!! Happy Monday :)
