Hump Day is here folks and I am so excited. This is my last day of work for this week. Tomorrow I will travel to Florida for the Disney Cup BMX Race with the team. This means I have Thursday and Friday off and will have a four day weekend. WOOT!! I can not tell you how much I need a little break from work and from just being at this house.
Finally convinced hubby that it would be better on our relationship if we left on Thursday morning and took a leisurely stroll to Florida, instead of trying to drive after having worked all day. Last year we could barely keep our eyes propped open enough to get there, which is just way too stressful.
The race is at an arena so it will be climate controlled..which is great, because it rains every afternoon in this area. We will have a huge race Fri..one on Sat and the finale is on Sun. I am excited to see if our youngest team member (8) wins the Disney cup..she did last year.
This afternoon will be spent cleaning and packing our van for the trip. Super-anal hubby will be on top of things as it all has to be perfect. I am sure after everthing is packed we will have dinner and maybe an early bedtime.
I am excited about this event because of the huge level of competition it has to offer. It is electric watching all of these stellar atheletes compete for a title.
Another thing I am excited about is that I bought a Sony Handycam to film the event and to take pics of the team with.
Look forward to playing with that new little toy. Perhaps I can post a pic or two. :D
