 Norwegian Wood
There's a quote in the novel Norwegian Wood by Murakami Haruki that describes the innocent puppy love between two individuals. I wish I can find that book again... Something along the lines of "We were two butt-naked monkeys playing in the woods, and we didn't know how to blend into society." I instantly related to the girl who said it. Sometimes the relationship between two people are so intimate (not necessarily physical) that a whole world is created, without any need of others. It's enough to have you and me.
Is it weird that my boyfriend and I have created bizarre world of our own. He's known as reptily and I'm mousy. We refer to each other like that on the phone. We'll call each other reppy and mousy during lulls of the conversation. We have a running cartoon starring Mr. Reppy and catsy, the alter ego of Mousy who is male, and Mr. Reppy and catsy both chase after girls. So in real life I'm a girl pretending to be mousy, pretending to be catsy, who likes to seduce girls, in essence making me a lesbian. Now that's only the beginning. I know we sound like retarded children but I beg to differ.

But I guess every couple has their own inside jokes. And if you've been with someone for six years, you're bound to know so much about each other that you feel there's need to create something new.
