I was doing a little research on the upcoming election, and before I say anything, I'll come right out and admit that I'm a hard-core republican. Now before everyone starts on me about Bush, I would just like to say that the reason I support him is because the alternative would have been catastrophic. I do not believe that either Al Gore or John Kerry could have done the work that George Bush had done. As far as this upcoming election, I think that Hillary Clinton and Barak O'bama have made nothing but a mockery out of our election process. They have been using the media to attack and belittle each other making our political system look like a three ring circus. I don't think that we can disregard the fact that a woman and a black man are running against each other for the democratic party vote. This was an egregious error on both of their parts, America was not ready for either one of these candidates, let alone both of them at the same time. If either of them wanted a real chance they should have split up their attempts into seperate elections, and then maybe the American people would have be able to take them seriously. Not only have these two been attacking each other, but now Barak O'bama is attacking John McCain, saying he's determined to 'carry out a third Bush term,' whatever the implications are of that, I'm not sure, but I highly doubt he's in any position to be criticizing someone doing a job that he himself has never done. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has at least been in the White House, which is more than Barak O'bama can or will ever hopefully be able to say. I'm sure not many, if any people agree with my point of view, that being a tightly wound conservative, but that's the beauty of this country. I suppose. All I have to say is NO to Obama, and a big HELL NO to having the Clinton's as a first family again, if you can even call them a FAMILY. They aren't a very exceptional example of what a family is.

I was a Kennedy democrat (JFK), even though I was too young to vote for him. I was also a Reagan republican, and did vote for him. The rest of the time I have been forced to choose the lesser of two evils. I don't like any of the current choices, but I can't stop voting. I wonder if it even matters who the people vote for, maybe our next president was chosen at some meeting of billionaires months ago.

Yea, you are so republican, your trunk is up your rear end. I am as sickenned by your lack of openness to the other side as you are at the other side. I am open to both parties, but the Republicans have been ruled by the Bushes since Reagan--who did a good job--was around. I cannot say enough how mad I am at the Bush legacy. Ever since 9/11, the US has been going to heck. And, if you can sit there and still tell me either Jr or Sr is better than anything...and I mean anything...the Democrats can offer, you have got your head way up the wrong chimney there. Gawd, I am sick of steadfast party mongers. If your party loses, are you going to start a war? The whole party system is ruining community just like religions arguing with each other.

yeah, I think you are very close minded...and obviously haven't done your research on any of these candidates and are clearly listening to somebody who only thinks republican. I look up to Hilary for the advances she has made for women, that doesn't mean I have to necesarily agree with her views. And Obama has come SOOO far. For you to have no respect for him is bs. Bush has had a silver spoon in his mouth all his life which explains his lack of knowledge of public policy and the economy, which explains y our country is in a RECESION. you should do more research and open your mind.
