I have one word and three syllables. SANTOGOLD. She is so hott! Ever since I fell in love with the insane beats, intense messages and retarded vicious style of M.I.A. I've been craving music that could be added to the same playlist and I've found it. Santogold. I'm not sure exactly where she came from. I just know that she used to be in a new wave punk band and I think she's from Philidelphia and lives in Brooklyn. I dont know. That could be totally wrong, but nevertheless her music is sooooo ery hot. Just like M.I.A. she is unique and talented and makes you listen and say "Whoa! This shit is crazy!" I'll have to admit, the first time I listened to her CD I was like, "WTF? I dont know about this" but when I listened the second time, looked up the lyrics and did a little psuedo-research through Google, I was amazed, in awe, and I forced everyone I live with to listen to it and they loved it.

I do have to admit that some people have a taste for the familiar and if you're one of those people you will NOT like this. She's so different and refreshing. I'm not sure if my analysis is correct or even objective, but I think her music is sort of a "fuk u" to mainstream sell outs who shall remain nameless. I feel like her message is something along the lines of "I'm ready and willing to be different regardless of the idiotic, manufactured trends prevailing in the music industry and A) you're a tool for letting the labels determine your image and B) I'm hot because hotness consists of individuality, heart and soul and that's what I'm doing so I'm hot!" LOL That's my interpretation. Don't hold her accountable - it's just my perception.

The point is that I'm too siced over this new Santogold chick and I can't wait for her to come out with more shit over the years and I really really really hope she comes to DC or somewhere near there because I have GOT to see her live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
