It's the end of the world as we know it... and I f

IN MY OPINION
The end of the world! What a phrase. I think the world is going to end in 2012, but I've been told that there has always been a tentative date for the event since the beginning of man made time and whenever it doesn't happen, everyone just moves on and another one is conjured up.

Well, I'm not completely sure, but if I had to guess I'd say something pretty big is about to happen. Let's go over the concepts that have brought me to this conclusion.

I'm not really that religious.

As a matter of fact I know that there was a point in time when the bible was only meant for the wealthy and when it was put together a group of men trying to create order in their society. Ugh I could totally get into it but that's another blog. The point is that Im not really that religious, but in Revelation the whole Armeggedon, End of Days, Judgement day stuff happens when the weather starts fucking up and people don't care about God anymore, and humanity has gone bananas. That's pretty much what's happening now right?

Global Warming.

Oh what a concept. I can't believe there are actually people who don't believe in it. WTF I mean is it NOT right in our Consumer whore faces? There are tornados going on rampages up and down the east coast like never before, Tornado season was supposed to be WAY over by now, but it has carried on into the summer and the heat is causing them to be super violent and destructive in the midwest. Temperatures hit all time record highs on the West coast in the beginning of the summer, the hole in the ozone layer gets bigger every summer, there are massive floods all over the place, the tsunamis in the east are killing the hell out of people, and the icecaps up in the north west of the United States are melting 70yrs faster than scientists expected. Umm Hellooooo!

Inconvenient Truth anyone? I know there's stuff that "proves" that the movie is not completely on point, but hey it's true enough for me to change my ways.

America The Beautiful. This country is sooo fucked! LOL I'm not even mad. Im amazed at the way we consume consume consume like the fat asses we are. We consume soooo much energy and soooo many resources it's ridiculous. And now that gas is at an all time high, we STILL can't take responsibility. It's like Gosh America lets get over ourselves!

Everyone wants the president to change everything, or they want to blame the gas/oil crisis on an inside job. Wake up Idiots! It's US! WE made the economy like this. When they gave checks to everyone what did they do? DING DING! Well everyone I know either went shopping, bought lots of liquor or drugs, or if they weren't complete idiots they paid off SOME credit card debt. (I didn't do either because I'm a non-working student but PLEASE believe if I'd gotten a check I would not have paid off any loans. I would have gone straight to Forever 21) And we use gas and electricity like its nothing. I'll bet half of us "consumers" don't even realize that we dont have an endless supply of coal. I mean don't get me wrong. I don't know much about anything, but I do know that coal comes in 3 phases if I'm not mistaken and the state it has to be in for us to use it takes THOUSANDS of years to form and here's some news for you! We're running out of that supply of usable coal faster than I'm going to have children. Yes there are alternate sources of fuel and energy, but they're going to cost and if we dont change our way of living those alternatives will run out eventually too. Guys, the point is that at the rate we're going I think that by 2012 Americans are going to be forced to change their living. Seriously. I really won't be suprised if America is a totally different place 4 yrs from now.

Some random stuff I've looked up (that means it's questionable). Well you know how the Mayans said the end of time would be 2012. Well I think that doesn't mean the worlds going to explode or anything it just means Way of Life as we know it is going to change. Look it up. Everyone should look up December 21 2012.

Plus my best friend read me this quote from the movie The Happenning (TOTALLY GOING TO SEE IT) that said Albert Einstein said When the bees are gone humans will have 4 years to live. OMG! So I or no one I know has seen ONE BEE. Not the big gross black ones, the little bumble bees; the yellow jackets. Haven't seen em all summer! One other thing. The manner in which European Americans conquered America was very Roman Empire-esque. The Roman empire eventually fell so.... you fill in the rest.

Listen, my point is: At the risk of sounding like a maniac, I think something really drastic and possibly catastrophic is going to happen in 2012.

Am I scared? No because I dont want to get married or have children and a career is just something people work toward so they can be loyal slaves to consumerism and capitalism.
