Thank you Erika for your many, many posts, thank you Erika for sharing your truly personal journey down this road, if thoughts had been around 8 years ago when Stephen my husband was facing his own battle with this truly heart stopping, terrible disease, I think he too would have found his way onto thoughts.com. Like you giving hope to others, like you just sharing a journey that life had steered you into.
Your greatest legacy to all of us, is your fighting spirit, love of your husband, family and life, and a truly wonderful, admirable attitude towards the hand that had been dealt you, no matter what you always seemed to have a smile on your face.
Although it is almost 6 years now since Stephen lost his very personal battle it feels just like yesterday, he hasn't really left us, he's just gone away, we have a legacy in 3 beautiful sons, men now and all are doing great, each day brings it's personal rewards, we miss you, still love you as much as before although you are no longer with us on this earth, knowing that you no longer have to face the pain, the anguish the worry of this dreadful disease brings to all of us peace.
Andrew, my thoughts and so many others here are with you, hoping that you will get through your grief, remembering that you are loved unconditionally by a very special lady who invited all of us to share her very, very personal journey through one of the hardest journeys anyone will ever take.
Rest, cry, grieve and any thing else you need to do for yourself no matter how long it takes.
