Hollie Beth, you are doing such a good job standing for your faith on the threads. Were you by any chance homeschooled? I just have a hunch you may have been.
We homeschooled our now grown kids and our sons were into the courtship vs dating after they heard Greg Harris's son at a convention....

Well, yesterday I took the challenge, but it took me longer than one hour and 15 minutes. That is because I read all morning with breaks to walk an hour, water the yard, put in laundry, etc. But I did finish it by 1:30 PM.
I must say John is a very powerful book when you read it through in...

I am sorry that you have had so many bad experiences. I have not really had many even in blogging, but I have blogs on several networks and have run into some pretty interesting athiests. I actually enjoy sharing my faith, whether people agree or not.

I think we are on a superficial level with more people than we know at a deeper level. Generally it is just trying to be friendly without really knowing what to say. It is a wonderful thing to have even a few friends to share with on a deeper level.

We get almost no rain at this time of year. Quite dry around Southern California. We pray to make it to winter with no fires. But then when we read of tornados and hurricanes we are glad for our mostly sunny weather.
