The New Kids On The Block Concert

Take note that I took some liberties with this to make it seem more dramatic since I had to turn this in for a grade.lol

When the commencing music blares from the loudspeakers, the crowd of anxious and excited, mostly female, spectators erupts into shrill screams of joy. Then the 5 men that they all came to see appear on the stage. Jordan, the one with the enchanting falsetto stands on one end of the stage with his microphone to his lips, prepared to perform. He gazes upon the crowd and nods, as if to show that he approves of their adoration of him. Jonathan, shaking slightly from nervousness, stands next to Jordan. Of all the members of the group Jonathan would be the one who is least adapted to be a performer, and it shows. None of the ladies mind it though, because the love they feel for Jonathan makes every slight mistake Jonathan makes on stage while performing completely insignificant. In the middle stands the most charming member of the group, Donnie. Upon appearing on the stage he gives the crowd a sly smile. He's well aware of the effect his smile has on the ladies, and he likes it. Standing on Donnie's left is Joey. There is much to be said about Joey's looks. From his beautiful blue eyes to the way his features slightly resemble those of an owl, he has a face that is hard to forget.Joey is flanked on the left by Danny Wood. At 5'8 he is the most often over looked member of the group(no pun intended). Together these men form the singing group New Kids On The Block and they are the ones everyone came to see.
As the intro music fades, a rare silence befalls the multitude of people in attendance. Their, faces, oddly illuminated by the dim lighting in the arena, vary from expressions of complete adoration to looks of blissful expectancy. They have been waiting 20 years for this moment.
At this point Joey, as if he had been waiting for the moment of peak anticipation to act, shouts "Jones Beach 1988" and the crowd erupts into raucous applause and the band begins to play "Summertime." After a few more songs the guys take a break from singing and stage a pose-off. This delights the fans who are infinitely amuse by, not only the poses, but also Joey's commentary of the event.
Having been supplied with enough comedic relief, the members of the audience all raise small electric candles and signs that say "Thank You" above their heads as Jordan begins to sing "I'll Be Loving You Forever." The somber moment is intensified by the pictures of the groups deceased loved ones that flash on the big screen during this time. First Danny's mother, then Donnie's father, and finally the face of the group's old manager Dick Scott, all appear on the screen.
The sadness subsides as the groups performs "One Song" which ends with confetti falling from the ceiling. Those in attendance can feel the electricity in the air. Then the mood shifts once more as the spectators become aware that the show is almost over. Donnie, Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, and Danny take the stage one final time to perform the group's first number one hit, "Hangin' Tough." The music starts and everyone sings along. The audience merges and becomes a single entity as everyone waves their arms back and forth in the exact same manner. It is the greatest moment of their lives. Then, just as quickly as it began, it ends. The guys disappear below the stage, the audience begins to leave and the lights come back on, revealing an arena that is nearly empty by now, except for a few stragglers. The show is over.
