 Boys & their toys
After having been with my honey for 12 years give or take (when you don't have an actual anniversary sometimes you forget exactly how long you've been together), it has just now become his responsibility to cut the grass and empty the trash, since my son moved out a handful of months ago.

In the beginning, I had been paying neighbors to cut my lawn, as I just don't have the time working full time, having a toddler and a teen and trying to keep up with the laundry and housework without his assistance.  Well, after having done that a few times, I finally told him, you do it, I'm tired of paying the neighbors...you do nothing else here, it's only fair.

He has cut the lawn for what 6 weeks now?  Anyway, he has decided it is too hard of a job to do with a push mower.  Can you believe?  This past weekend he went out and bought himself a John Deere riding mower, complete with an accessory/plow to plow the snow off of our  huge 2 car driveway...ha haa...(I'm being sarcastic).....oh my god.....(shaking my head still)......  There is a reason why we have separate accounts.  This man loves his toys.  My concern was, where are we going to put it!  With all of his other toys, we have no room.  Needless to say, it is on the patio under a cover.  Grrr... Suburban living with some hillbilly style.  Got to love it!

Anyways, if he is looking for something to spend his money on, how about passing some my way to help assist in court costs.  Ha.... as if.... but it doesn't hurt to dream though, does it?!

a man is only as good as the tools that he has. Hard to do a good job with bad tools. LOL

I hope he isn't wearing a wife beater and carrying a beer in one hand while he cuts the lawn....that would definitely be hillbilly!!!! I guess you just have to be thankful he is cutting the lawn...men always seem to have to make a big thing out of the simplest chores.

no, we just want to have fun doing the simple jobs, or at least most men that I know. Take a simple job and turn it into something that is enjoyable. As for the beer it is only rude if you rest it on your stomach while sitting. LOL

Ha...no wife beater shirts, they aren't allowed!! He does have a built in cup holder on the contraption, so maybe that would classify him as a first class hillbilly, LOL. Can't go spilling the brew now, can we?! I could have sworn he looked around to see who was watching him as he climbed on top of that thing for the first time!
