 kenyas situation deteriorating
My heart goes out to all my brothers and sister who have continued to lose their loved ones and property due to the post election violence that rocked our county.
I just recently got  an opportunity to have a look at raw footage from a city morgue, and GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!!They are horrific! No wonder people have already started terming the situation in kenya a ‘Genocide’ and No wonder, our cops had cordoned off all morgues in the clash torn areas.

It gets worse , media reports indicate that most of the bodies in kisumu morgues bear bullet wounds.
Most Kenyans in these areas use crude weapons,  guns are mainly used by the police.

Then of course there are those, that have been displaced by the violence with no chance of ever reclaiming their lives,It a really sad state of affairs.
But while the government should be in the forefront in bringing the political crisis to an end, the high handedness exhibited by some of the governement officials  is heart breaking.

With calls for mediation from both the local and international communities at an all time high, the outgoing internal security minister was quoted as saying that  he did not understand why the country was suddenly awash with international dignitaries. This was in reference to Ghanaian president kofuor, Jendayi Frazer, US assistant secretary of state for African affairs and some former African leaders currently in the country .
To honorable John Michuki there isn’t any reason for these mediators to be in the country.
He infact went ahead to say, the government was only hosting them out of courtesy and not because they really needed them.
Surely even assuming the government did not RIG the elections, is this how they should react, when the country is so deeply torn?
I heard someone the other day ,say Kenya was on the path to becoming another Zimbabwe , Im starting to fear that this could actually be the case.

Another thing, the  demonstrations called for by the opposition should be allowed to proceed .
The more the government denies Kenyans their constitutional right of assembly ,the more they will frustrate them and the consequences can and will be disastrous.
Instead of police firing live ammunition at innocent Kenyans they should focus their attention and energy on their lawful duties of protecting the lives and property of Kenyans during these demos.
I just received reports that another seven people were killed today as police tried to stop demonstrators from making their way to the city center add this to another three that were gunned down yesterday.
The international community should act quickly, lest they be accused of turning a blind eye to a disaster in the making, as was the case for Rwanda
