| Promoting Panarchy |
Panarchy is the idea of multiple governments in one country living side by side. This way, the citizens pay for the services they want from their government, and they follow laws that they agreed to, rather than ones they were born into. I started thinking along these lines when I realized, that if a business tried to charge someone for a service that the customer did not want it would be considered theft, so why should we allow any government to do this? I also wanted to have an infastructure setup that people could fall back on in an emergency situation (picture an infastructure that the people involved would of been apart of during Katrina that would of made FEMA completely unnecessary). When I started doing more research on this type of thing for my articles I learned that this idea had a name, and that it had been around since 1860. Furthermore I disovered panarchy.org which has a series of articles on the subject.
In my previous 5 articles I have been trying to describe what I believe the minimalist role of a government to be, and how to go about it without contradicting ones original purpose. Overall I have found that if government systems were allowed to compete with eachother in a single country, living side-by-side, than overtime, only the best systems would remain.
I like these ideas so much, that it is calling me to action. I want to setup a step by step process, that people can follow to make their own governments, and I want to provide services that will make this possible. These services would include news of whats going on with the other systems that sign up, a daily comparison of the values of competing currencies/systems, a guide to help you get started and a webpage, for your government to list its own news.
Anyone interested can reach me either on this site or by emailing me at panarchist@rocketmail.com do be warned, I am likely to blog about anything that I'm not asked to not blog about.
