 Personalize your own Government
In my last post I wrote about how the oath to uphold and defend the constitution has been betrayed for well over a century.  I also mentioned that according to the law, if a sworn-in politician does not uphold this oath, than he is no longer a legal office holder.  On top of all that they are also guilty of pergory and high-treason, the sentence for which, is life in prison or death.  I am not calling for this punishment.  When I have the option, I'm a big fan of non-violence, and in this case, I believe there is another option.

If we take the Constitution seriously, and if we are optimistic in our numbers, than 95% of our "officials", "bueracrats", and "politicians" have no legal right to be in the positions they are in.  Which means that legally, we only have maybe 5% of the government that we actually serve and pay taxes to.  The rest we serve not because of the Law, but because we consent through obedience of a false law (Uniform Commerical Code... that's a whole nother rant).  Even so, consent still puts a limit (a very weak limit) on what these officials can get away with, and they do have to at least pretend to uphold the Law.  This means that as bad as things can get, they may not get as badly as I think they will.  I believe that this creates an option for non-violent protest and preparation for worse case scenario.

If, we only have 5% of our government, than we really don't have very much of an infastructure.  That tells me that there are a lot of vacancies.  I say we let the pretenders, pretend to be legal officeholders, and we elect legitimate officeholders.  Whoever can get together with people they trust can choose to elect the workforce and infastructure necessary to follow The Constituion, or you can right your own.  At this point, follow the laws that you and your new mini-government wrote, and ignore the laws that violate these rules.  Now, this is not something that has to be done all the way, and there are probably a lot more people who are not quite willing to buck the system... that's ok.  I am not asking you too... yet.  What I am asking is that you setup the infastructure to support yourself, your friends, and loved ones, in the event of a crisis, government melt down or just plain old hard times.

The beauty of this is, that you can commit to whatever degree you choose to.  If nothing bad happens, than you can use this as an oppurtunity to get closer to friends, and learn firsthand, what it takes to make and run a government that will retain liberty for all members.  If we fall on hard times, and your new constitutional setup has some form of a trustfund with strict limitations on usage than that trustfund can be used to help your community get by.  You and your friends are the ones who write the laws and membership is voluntary, so live to whatever ideal, you can get others to agree with, (and live true to yourself whether they do or not).  I'm going to try to start this project with a few of my friends.  Those who can could benefit greatly, as the thing this would most prepare one for is when (not if), be it this generation or our great-great grandchildren's, our government either collapses or wrongfully abuses its own people there will be a setup, so that when things are worse, not all is lost.

I'm starting my project by not only telling other people, but learning the challenges that went into making our own Constitution.  Micheal Badnarick has an excellent (8 session) class that can be viewed here, and there is a whole slew of legal and historical documents one can go over, to get a good idea of the challenges one may face.  I know this may just end up being an eccentric club, but I once read that those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who often do.

Please give me some feedback, I could really use it.
