I knocked over a can of parts soaking in gasoline in my friend's garage. The gas soaked my shoe. I let my friend burn the gas off the shoe but ended up starting a big fire in the garage. Not good.

I think I would want to read the diaries of my first ancestors who came to America from England and Ireland. I would want to know what it's like to leave your home and start a completely new life in a foreign sometimes rough land. I don't have the balls to do anything like that.
I no longer have a friends list, and I can't recall everyone I had on it, but I like:
EasyToSay because she's cool and a great writer
lastblast because she's funny and nice; i'm drawn to the stories about her life and family
dreampower because she has some pretty vivid dreams
anotherdaze is an interesting, sweet gal; i like her responses
dreaming -- whatever happened to the young'n?

Amazing Grace on the bagpipes.
There are a bunch of other songs, mostly pop and rock stuff, I could talk about, but Amazing Grace is one of the few that really moves me emotionally and spiritually.

Barr -- My cute little Irish grandma's maiden name. I found Barr ancestors (tombstones anyway) in N. Ireland, so I've kind of identified a lot with that branch on my family tree.

The best advice I can give you, E2S, is to ask your own lawyer the pros and cons of you attending.
Ask him (or her) if your failure to appear could affect your rights in any way, shape or form. If he (or she) says, "Yes, FOTY could ask for **** if you don't show," then you should be there to make sure all the agreements in place (supposedly) are adopted by the court and made part of any final judgment.
That's advice from a Yankee attorney. :)

My best friend's either grandparents or uncle/aunt (maybe both) lived on the Garvaghy Road. It was pretty contentious for years about whether LOI could march down that frickin' road. I could see both sides, both the principle of the freedom of expression by the Protestants and the anger or hurt by the Catholics. My feeling was that the Protestants should just leave that road alone as a good will gesture to their neighbors, but what do I know? I've lost track of how that got resolved if at all.
