As a mega-Beatles fan, I couldn't help but weigh in on this. It seems Ringo wasn't as tactful as he could be about this subject. I'm sure there is a better way of saying what he said. Perhaps he should've said nothing at all and continued to let fans waste their time, paper and postage sending...

Here's the answer to your question: I don't think his skin color is a factor for most people. I live in an upper middle class exclusively white area and there are more Obama supporters than McCain supporters.
