| Write way to Network a blog

Words have always held a fascination to me. I loved English at school and relished being able (and allowed) to use my creative imagination in writing essays and suchlike. Subsequently, I would love to be a full time published writer. It is a long held dream but I am in no illusions about my abilities and what writing as a career could ential. It's not all about lazing on the sundrenched porch of my beach villa, writing the next best seller and sitting comfortably on the million dollar book contract that publishers are just waiting to pay me for the outstanding work I would do. If only....
Writing can be a hard, lonely slog. There are days when the brain defiantly sits in dead silence, point blank refusing to co-operate with you in any way whatsoever. The blank white page burns itself into your retina as you imagine it filling up with words, all saying something great, brilliant, deep, profound, or just something, anything, but no, the creative brain is having a siesta so you go back to your thoughts on Thoughts.com lol
Only the reader can say if your work is any good or not though and that is why Thoughts.com has been, and is, invaluable in getting feedback and in sharing and reading the work of fellow writers. That is a point to make too. In case you didn't realise it, we are ALL writers on this site. We don't get paid for every word we write here but by the very fact that we write it and publish it on the web for all to see, means we are writers. If we got paid for it, then we would be Professional writers - but then Thoughts.com wouldn't be what it is and half of us probably wouldn't be here.
I write because I love to write. I write despite myself. I write because I do. If I don't write something every day, it means that I am very ill or dead lol I don't mean here on Thoughts just anywhere. I have had lots of notebooks in the past with my bits n peices oif writing in them. Most have probably been tossed away now though. I used to have lots of discs with writing on them too but they have moved into the past too now. lol
With writing, as with anything else, one of the most important things you can do is to network of course. Get your name out there, make people hear of you, refer them to your work, let them read and decide for themselves. It only takes that one chance encounter for someone who happens to be lookng for what you've got to offer and you could be off and running. Thanks to Ben / Jason, we have been given the means to network a little better by the inclusion of weblinks to outside blog catalogues so that we can link people back to our blogs through them. That is what this blog is all about.
Apparently, in order to use them, we need to include a link back button with code in our blog so that people who click the button will be transferred to your blog. Similarly, people who click the button in our blog will be linked to the other site, thereby generating more two-way traffic. Well that's the theory anyway. I think I've got that right? lol
So, without further ado, here are my links. If they don't work, all you'll probably see is lines of code (and me pulling my hair out and going 'arrrrgh!).

Great post ... you expressed how I feel in my heart perfectly. I thought I was the only one who had things on paper, discs etc. I write because it brings me joy and makes my heart sing. I'm thankful for this little space to call my own where my words can live and breathe. Peace.

What's meant to be is meant to be Scar. If you had not had a reason to be on your own all that time, would you have started writing and become a writer? Most times, we can't see the 'big picture' so its better to just accept and go with the flow.
Peace my friend.
