The darkness of attention seekers

Some people carry darkness with them like a cloak which they can hide behind. It becomes normal, a part of who they are and they reach a point where they cannot even see what they have become for themselves. Sometimes, they will go to extreme lengths to spread that darkness around because they wish others to be in the same place, think the same thoughts, be the same way that they are. There are many like this in life, and there are some here on Thoughts.com too, as it is a microcosm of the macrocosm which is life.

There has been drama on occasion here, due to the narrow views of others and because of their inability to let go of the darkness, the hatred, the fear which they carry within. Their Ego drives them on in a fruitless quest for attention, for some proof to vindicate who they are and, because they spread their vile darkness, they do receive that attention. It is much better however, to continue to focus on the light and to treat the appearance of darkness with the insginificance it deserves because, in doing so, we help to promote the light, we help the light to grow and where light exists, darkness wiil not withstand. Attention feeds darkness, and it grows. Where it meets a lack of attention and is met with an awareness and recognition of its insignifcance, it will perish in the void.

Someone who works though their Ego cannot see what they are. They refuse to acknowledge they could possibly be mistaken, or even wrong. Often they are but their fragile Ego cannot allow that to enter their consciousness. A sceptic will never be convinced that what he believes to be true, is only fact within the limited capacity of his mind, within the restriction of his physical awareness and so this has been the case here.

Life is not to be wasted though, massaging others' Ego or indulging individuals in their games of intellect because they are unaware of the truth of who and what they are and until they can see clearly, that will always be the case. The attention seeker needs, craves, longs for others to notice them, even if they are being noticed for all the wrong reasons yet such people do nothing but prove their shallowness.

There are many who walk the same earth as the rest of us. They are not to be despised, to be cast aside, nor even to be rewarded with the attention they seek. Would you give a child who seeks attention what he or she wants?

When you come across those who sow only disharmony and discord amongst everyone, remember that they will reap what they sow and the only thing you need do, is turn your back towards that darkness and face the light. This is the lesson they bring with them.

		This reminds me of Darkness...my lovely stalker. I called her darkness..hehe. Funny you would use the same term. People who love trouble, really do hide behind a cloak of darkness. If they showed their real face, we would all see how ugly hatefulness makes someone. Sometimes it takes a calling down of darkness that trails behind you to torture. After that, ignoring the ignorance of strife, is the best way. Great Post!! Namaste

		Darkness is Darkness DS. Maybe that's why you called your stalker that? They try to hide in darkness but one single solitary light exposes them. Namaste

		Very well said, i do believe in some cases, that someone who may be ignored or bullied in real life come to a place such as this to be heard, nomatter who they hurt, then some people are just ignorant, self indulgant, opinionated ratbags who care about no one but themselves and can here no ones voice but their own! this is brilliant honey xx
