Nobody ever told me I wasn't supposed to see Spirits. Any time I raised the subject though, I was politely informed that it was "just my imagination". Well, excuse me but if my imagination is THAT good, I impress the hell out of myself! lol
Since I was a kid, I have seen Spirits, Ghosts, call them what you will. Some have been aware that I could see them, some not, some even seemed to be aware but didn't care.
I don't see them everywhere I go, but I see them to an extent that is higher than average. I don't go looking for them either, although I can, more often, it just happens spontaneously. Like the time I went into a pub (bar) in Glasgow and noticed an old man sitting in the corner. Nothing strange in that you might think but this pub was a converted church and was now a wine bar, not the sort of place an old Glasgow man would go drinking, I assure you. Added to that was the fact that only his top half was visible - there were no legs, not even stumps, below the table. I knew he was a spirit rather than a mortal though because of the feeling, the sense.
I sense Spirits much more often than I see them. It is hard to describe how it feels but imagine being in a pitch black room, you cant see a thing but you just 'know' there is another presence in there with you. That's something like how it feels. I hasten to add though that I dont feel in the least bit frightened at all. I find it intriguing, enlightening, exciting sometimes. I have sensed the discarnate in lots of different places, from the ordinary mundane household to some of the UK's stately homes and tourist attractions.
There is a house in Glasgow called the "Provands Lorship", the oldest house in Glagsow which, I think, dates back to 1500-something. I have been in that house often but I tend to avoid it where possible because, to me, it 'feels' too busy, even although it is usually very quiet, very empty, with only one or two tourists and caretakers around.
Sometimes it can be just a little more creepier than at others though and although I can honestly say I have never had an experience which scared or terrorised me, I will admit there have been times when I have had less pleasant experiences. Most of these, I am at a complete loss to explain. One such time, for example, I was returning home from work at about 10pm (gmt) and had to pass a garden near my house. The garden is elevated in a small rise or hillock. Normally this street has the usual youths gathered at the corner and maybe a car passing but this time it was empty and quiet. Nothing unsual or scary in that, and I didnt think so either. As I approached the garden, I could see a firgure standing on the top of the small hilly part. Again, nothing unusual in that, just the owner probably.
As I walked past the garden, the figure turned to stare at me with what I can only describe as defiance. I have no idea why. It was the figure of a female, maybe in her fifties, with straggly, unkempt hair, wearing what looked like a gown of some sort. There was nothing particularly startling about her appearance - apart from the fact that she 'ended' at the ankles. Where her feet should have been there was only empty air and she was not, in fact, in physical contact with the ground.
That was it, in a nutshell. She stared at me, I kept walking (!!) and we parted company again. I have no idea why I saw her or why she chose to acknowledge my presence in passing. Spontaneous clairvoyance - that is what it was and that is what I have experienced on and off all of my life since I was a child.
These are just two examples but, like I said, if that's "just my imagination" well, blow me, aren't I good? lol :p
Spirits are real, they do walk among us and they are more aware of us than we are of them. I believe so, I have seen it for myself. Perhaps you all will too one day?
Peace & Love . :) |

I believe you Jim...That is a gift to have and to be unfraid of any people that you see....Spirits have a lot to offer us if we take time to see them...
God bless you for this....

Thank Hollis. I dont think it's a gift though. It's a natural thing that we all can do, we just need to remember we can and remember we already know how. :)

Hi scotslad,
Glad to know there are people out there like me. I helped my brother who committed suicide pass into the next realm. That was my most amazing life experience.

I do not think it is your imagination.
You are the third friend of mine, who have said such things.
I believe you wholeheartedly.
We will all see them someday, when we get our spiritual bodies.
Let them say it is your imagination then.
Interesting post my friend.
You have a believer in me.

There are more people like this than will admit to it lilbaboo. I am sure that must have been an amazing experience for you too, especially with it being one so close.

Thank you DS. And thank you for mentioning your friends, proves there are more who have clear sight. We can all see them now, it is only we who prevent it. :)
