I have never liked conflict, although some might disagree with that, especially in light of some of my posts in the forums. lol I have usually been able to avoid conflict by talking things out and, where necessary, agreeing to disagree. The reason I hate conflict so much though is that, I feel it. I don't mean the stress of being in a bad situation, I mean the actual energy of conflict. If you could see it, it would look like a thick, greyish-black cloud of acrid smoke which weaves and curls itself around the people involved in a situation of conflict. It feels bad, it looks bad, it is bad. Too often, too many of us take that road of conflict, bending to the demands of our fragile ego which urges us to 'win' at all costs, and if we dont win, it goes on to tell us how we deserve to lose because we're pathetic and should be depressed, etc. Yes, the Ego IS that powerful you know.
I refuse to be drawn into conflict though. I want to live in peace, in love, in harmony. Those who want to work against that may try but they will fail because I am putting on my armour, raising my shields and preparing for a period of conflict, a fight, which I have been shying away from for far too long. I will fight against all those who want to walk in the darkness, who want to cast their shadows of doubt and who want to fight to keep their limitations. Where there are opposing religions, opposing political views and opposing opinions, there will be discord, disharmony and conflict which will keep people divided. I do not want divisions nor shall I be part of any 'side' in such conflicts. I am for unification of all people, regardless of their beliefs and persuasions. I know there will be those who think that it is impossible to unite people and that there will always be conflict and therefore it is pointless to try. To them I would say that not trying is the biggest problem and that whilst there may be conflicting opinions, there is NO reason, justification nor argument that is acceptable to me for taking even one life in the name of these conflicts, as in war.
To the religious:
It is a mistake to believe that God favors any of his creations. Our Creator is a benevolent loving Spirit, not a vengeful God waiting to punish you for not obeying or disbelieving in what you have been told to believe by other people. You have been given absolute power to create or to destroy, to love or hate, to divide or unite. You have been given the free will to choose which of these paths you will follow, the rest is up to you.
To the political:
Politics is an invention of man designed to maintain and impose a sense of order on the world. The same is true of the invention of time. Through the power of unchecked Ego, politics has become corrupt and filled with darkness. Where the essence was to create something which would benefit us all, it has now become nothing more than a tool to oppress, to delude, to control and to keep those who think of themselves as being of more importance, 'above' and seperate from everyone else. Voting will never change this now, only a complete regime change will suffice and only one which is borne of Spirit, or God, which sees everyone equally and is focused on the benefit of all, will work.
To those living 'alternative lifestyles':
It doesn't matter what others think of you, you should not listen to the blind mutterings of those whose eyes are half closed. As with anyone else, what matters most is who you are and how much love and compassion you show in caring for others. Be true to YOU and let others find their own way, their own path in life. Regardless of what some may want to believe and think, we are all Gods creations and he loves each one equally, regardless of their sexual orientation or their lifestyle.
To the Spiritual:
Keep seeking and know that, although you will stray from your true path again and again, you will be drawn back to it as surely as you breathe. Your Spirit will lead you to the place and in the direction that is right for you, so listen to it well and often. When you are faced with the detractors, the disbelievers, the sceptics and those who suggest that your way is wrong, remember that the power of Spirit has brought you to where you are and maybe you have been brought there for a reason?
I'm not here to be a preacher. I have never thouhgt of myself as a teacher, a guide, guru, whatever fancy names you have or wish to label. All I know of is the Truth that I have, gained through my experience, not from any religious book or doctrine. I think it was Stuart Wilde who wrote a book entitled, "The quickening" and in it he speaks of how you will know the quickening when you feel it and experience it. (Read it, it is an excellent book). Well, I have felt that quickening, that rush for some time and have pushed it deep down inside myself and put it to the back of my mind but now I can no longer do that. It is too powerful, too strong within. I refuse to try and supress it any longer.
Im not suggesting I have some sort of 'message' to impart or anything but, like Difficult Soul (Thoughts member), I will speak whats in my heart and mind and burning in my soul. What anyone does with that is up to them. I know I will feel better for it. I've posted some new links to videos to try and show where Im coming from a little clearer. None of them are based on any specific religion but they are all very good Spiritual clips. The clip of Jonathan Livingston Seagull was an early motivational one for me too. I hope you will take a look at them and enjoy.
Namaste, my friends.
