Not being sure if I had already posted these ones, I'm doing them again anyway. lol
Whether the Weather
Whether it's wet, whether it's snow
whether it's hot, or twenty below
whether it's sunny, whether it's grey
whethjer it's evening or even mid-day
whether it's blowy, whether it's rain
all we ever do is complain!
The Great Gig
The music danced on the senses
of the audience who were entranced
captivated by the sound
like reeds dancing in a breeze
they swayed to the rhythm
raised their hands and faces
to grasp the melody
that rocked its way
lively o'er the crowd
bounced on the electric atmosphere
of that wide, acoustic hall
until finally, exhausted
it was done
and they called it a Great Gig.
Spirited Sailor
She cuts through the swell like an arrow in flight
her tall sails catching the winds full might
through the canyons of the rocky sea
she struggles on and makes no plea
for mercy from the ocean wide
the beckoning stars her only guide
where her destination lies only God knows best
for this eternal free spirit, the "Marie Celeste".
