As the title says I must have been mad to agree to this crazy idea of my wife's and to think it would work. What is the idea i hear you ask, well the idea is living with my mother-in-law. Not only am I mad but also crazy, she has driven me to this.

It all started approx 6mths, when we brought a house, and my sweet darling wife said why don't we get my mother to come and live with us as she is all alone, and like a fool I said yes. At first for the first couple of months all went kind of ok, bearing in mind she is 82 and we are in our 50's she has no friends, and does.nt go out to meet any new ones either. She always wants to come with us wherever we go and  we, wifey and I never get any time to ourselves anymore, to do what normal married couples do.

Christmas was ok, because we had family come over, but now we are in the new year things don't change. I have been relegated to the upstairs part of the house, because she sits with my wife all night in our lounge,(she has one of here own). we run our own business from home, so we get no time away from her even during the day and I and sometimes my wife are at our wits end what are we to do.She plays us off one against the other, does'nt help out round the house. And for the last 10 years that we have been together, we have never had a holiday to ourselves, Is this normal, I don;t think so 

Any suggestions anybody?
