Somebody needs a cold beer.......well, I agree with about 90% of what you had to say. A sports program, if done right, can be a benefit. Builds character and opens scholiastic doors for many. The system that often over sees these programs is a total waste. You are so right on the points you've made. Here's a couple of new ones for you....here in Florida, they no longer require students to learn cursive writing and multiplication tables are no longer learned. Board of education feels the computer has replaced all that. That sucking sound you hear is another part of our culture going down the drain......Charlie

I see the waste fraud and abuse that goes on in the schools and it makes me sick.
They are more worried about the football field getting chalked then anything else.

They use more copy paper in School then any copy shop in town.

They have workbooks for each kid and they throw them out and make copies of the pages. They don't like the paper the workbooks are made of.

Our tax dollars going in the trash daily. The teachers don't care. "It is not coming out of my pocket" so I can throw it out.

Maybe we should charge the teachers for the waste. They may get to like the workbooks.

I wrote every word. That is what happens when people study. They have thoughts that can be put into sentences to convey ideas and not copy what someone else wrote.

Do I agree with more school? No. Do I agree with better? Yes. More school is not the issue. It's the fault of the teachers not doing their job. You have to pass a certain number of students in order to keep your job. That is ridiculous. I say if you don't make the grade, you don't graduate. I have never agreed with public education. It's all about preparing them to take standardized tests to make the school look good and nothing else.

Do I agree with uniforms in school? No. Stop trying to strip these kids of their individuality. Don't schools do that enough as it is? I quote George Carlin, "Concerning school uniforms, it's not even a new idea. I first saw it in old newsreels from the 1930s, but it was hard to understand because the narration was in German!"

You do realize Christians kill each other too? Bombing abortion clinics? You're killing people for killing "people." Every religion breeds violence. I say do away with all religions, they do more harm than good anyway.

By the way, you could use a lesson in spelling. Just a thought. You misspelled "religion" three times that I counted, as well as a few other misspelled words. Oh, and "hate" and "terrorism" are not proper nouns. Shall I keep going?
