So, you know when you try so hard to do everything right? Try to defy all odds thrown against you. Watch Oprah and Dr. Phil, and yet things still don't seem to work out??? Why is that? It's hard to not get angry...I guess you are maybe wondering what I am talking about. I am 21 and trying SO hard to pay for school by myself. Work full time. And yes, I know, there are tons of people doing the same things I am, but it doesn't make things any easier. Especially when people keep telling you that.:) And it just seems like there is no help out there at all. I went a got myself a mountain of credit card debt, and now I am stuck trying to dig myself out of it. I know there are more of you out there in the same situation. What are your thoughts and advice...besides winning the lottery or marrying a rich doctor??? :-P

the first thing you need to do is cut up your credit cards. they are one of the biggest problems people face with debt. we start buying things we don't have the money for. this is a mjaor mistake. if you have already cut them up, the next thing is to keep paying off the existing debt as fast as you can. it is not fun, but when you have all of the debt paid off you will feel much better. another important thing to do, although not always easy is to live within your means. don't go spening money on things that are not needed. i know none of this is great to hear, but it can help you to get our from under the debt pile. i had to do this myself years ago. it was hard work, but well worth it.
