| Jumping into a river of chance. Part one. (on my o |
I’ve decided to start a life of my own, with the exception of a roommate. She’s been my best friend since the fourth grade and our relationship continues to thrive. The day we moved out from my mother’s house it was pouring down rain and the ground was covered in lake sized puddles, but we pushed on because we knew it was our time. To afford to turn our electric on right away we had to return cans at our local Can City. To fill our cupboards we had to go to the Community Cupboard at a local church. So as of right now we have -$70 to our name (because we also borrowed money from a friend). It’s going to be an interesting journey.
We have had a lot of help from friends and family moving in and furnishing our apartment. Our friend even baked us a cake as a house warming gift. It was sweet of her.
Am I worried about our financial situation? Honestly, only time will tell. I think after the first few months I’ll be able to collect enough experience and make an average of the bills we’ll have to pay. My roommate works as a CNA and I work at a gas station. I get about 25-35 hours a week at pay of mim wage. She makes almost 11 dollars an hour and usually gets 30 something hours a week and benefits. I’m not worried for her but I’m curious as to how well my financial situation will be.
I also started dating this guy named Bryce. He’s a real sweetheart. I went to the doctor because of my sore throat and found out I have tonsillitis. He went and got me stuff to keep my fever down and help me sleep. He refused to leave my side.
To be continued…
