For the past few days we have been visiting my mother's sister, she lives in the North of England, in a place my mother said is named Yorkshire. When we lived back in France, my mother's sister would come and visit us twice a year, once on Christmas Day, and the second on my Grandmother's birthday, but i had never once been to Yorkshire. She used to show our family pictures, and she said is was very beautiful, and i saw that there was lots of fields and trees where she lived. But when we went to visit, the city that she lived in did not look like the picture, there were houses everywhere and not so much countryside. My mother's sister told me "in Huddersfield there is not so much countryside, but there is lots in Mirfield." I think that she lives near Mirfield, but i am not too sure.

It was very raining. On the second day we were to go home, but my and my mother must stay because there is too much rain and it is very high, like a river on the road. My mother's sister named this "a flud", she talked about this word often, but i do not understand this word. It wasn't nice that we were trapped in the house by this "flud", but it was nice to see my cousins for a little longer. My cousins speak English because their father is English, but they also speak French because their mother is French. Their French is good, but not too good, so my mother and their mother said it was a good idea for us all to speak French, in the house until we went home. My cousins did not like this very much, so we speaked in English a lot, which i think is good for me, but not too good for my cousins.

Now i am very glad to be back home, tomorrow i go back to school, and after speaking English for many days without stopping and having to think too much, i think that my helper will be quite excited. The teachers say only a few more weeks and i might be ready to start the school for real. Which means i will be allowed to go to classes like the other children, and i can have normal English friends, not people i am made to be in the language room with, whilst we learn English. Learning English is hard, in my class there are two Polish boys, three Indian boys and one girl from America - the girl is in the first year of high school, and can speak English as her mothertongue, but she goes in there for an hour a day for help with spelling and other changes with the language.

I think i should go now, i wish you all greeting :D
