Unsaid
She struggles to speak
with out a word
Silently hoping
he somehow heard
All the things she never said
Words she screamed within her head
What she knew but couldn't express
What she felt yet couldn't confess
Overwhelmed with agony
For what she knew would never be
And though she fought to keep control
something about him touched her soul
something about him made her fall
and somehow he changed it all
Something that he couldn't see
was how she wanted it to be
never meant to feel so much
longing for his taste, his touch
Yet she pretended to be strong
because he made her feel so wrong
always left her so confused
shattered, feeling so damn used
Though to her it was so apparent
that her front was so transparent
she continued to conceal
the truest part and what was real
All the things she didn't share
because she thought he didn't care
Deciding what she didn't say
would've have mattered anyway
She forced a smile and hid her tears
for he was both her hopes and fears
with a thin line that blurred between
and just when she thought he had seen
a glimpse of what lay behind
of what was truly on her mind
of all the things she didn't say
he just turned and walked away
He said nothing, so she was scared
to tell him how much she truly cared
To admit she was hurt and she cried
So she said nothing and she tried
to pretend that she was strong and tough
silently wondering why she wasn't enough
Pretending what she didn't say
wouldn't have mattered anyway
