I was told by a wise and kind man on this site that i do not need need to feel shame. I do feel deep shame. Why? because of the terrible injustisces of the white man toward the Natives of,not just my home-Australia but also of the USA and other lands like Africa and India. It is true that I personally have done nothing to any of these peoples but still I feel shame. The white man has done so much wrong, been so dishonest and greedy...it makes me feel sick when I think of the cruel suffering my ancestors have caused. And that which the white man in particular still causes. I am not sure how the native American is treated today...poorly I suspect. I know the Australian Aboriginie is at best a second class citizen in his own land. I am too ashamed to relate some of the atrocities commited against these "savages." My God! no wonder they hate us so!
Here is a link to American Native Wisdom. A very fine site.

We still have so much to learn...don't we...and it’s interesting because we could really learn the most from those that we have silenced over the years. I guess that's the conundrum that occurs with the fact that wisdom and ambition just aren't synonymous with one another...Probably also why we have so few genuinely good presidents ;) ...

Shannon...I am afraid most don't want to learn. Most are too selfish. We have no wisdom...have pushed it under the carpet and walked on it in out insatiable desire to keep taking from our fellow man! Nature is starting to bare her teeth!
