What do people eat after they work out? I have very low blood sugar -- I can feel the crash as I complete my workout routine. I need quick sugar to bring my system back to normal, but if I just eat a quick carb, I feel like the work that I've just completed is for not. I complete any workout with a hydration drink, but it isn't enough.
I like serious workouts -- typically in a week I complete three/four kickboxing classes, 3 days weights, then run on the off days usually 5-6 miles. I know that I have a good routine and I mix it up when I can find additional time...to throw in a spin or yoga class.
I just want to find a diet or food that I can regulate to help stabilize my sugar levels. Am I not eating enough food or do I need to eat differently?
