I make a conscious effort of staying in touch with my friends no matter what. I've come to realize that good friends are hard to come by so I make sure I don't lose them because of losing communication. The primary way I keep in touch with friends is with my cell phone. Whether it be through text messaging, or a simple phone call I make sure to get in touch with them at least twice a week. My secondary way is through the internet, on facebook. Facebook allows me to put up pictures that friends can see and know what I'm doing, and to for me to view friends pictures. I also leave messages on friends' walls so that they can get back to me when they have time. The last way I keep in communication with friends is through email, but it is only sparingly. While I prefer live contact, I can't be with my friends all the time so I use my phone, facebook, and email to help me keep my relationships tight.
