We recently watched the film Bend it Like Beckham in one of my Communications classes. I forgot how much I realated to the film until I saw it again. It's about an Indian mother who has two daughters and is literally OBSESSED with getting them married. This is the summary of my life so far. My mom cannot stop asking me if i'm ready to get married, even though i'm only 20. My older sister, who is 24, is unmarried and my moms life revolves around finding her the perfect guy. Like I said before, shes in med school so marriage is the last thing on her mind. But culturally its the biggest event of our lives, and my mother doesn't let us forget it. So if you want to know what I deal with everyday watch Bend it Like Beckham!
