Fourth Day- (2 and a half hours)
Today we walked into Rainbow House and I had to really watched where I stepped because there were kids everywhere! At First, I walked around and picked up dishes and kind of watched to see if anyone needed anything. I then moved back into the kitchen and I dried dishes. I pretty much was in the kitchen the rest of the time today washing and drying dishes.
I was hardly in there alone, and I got a good chance to talk to a lot of other volunteers. Jearel-Dean has been at Rainbow House everytime that I have been. I really enjoy talking to her and it's fun getting to know her. She is very easy to talk to. Today we talked alot about the differences between schools in American vs. Britian. She used to be an English teacher and she was telling me lots of stories about it.
There is this old man that comes that has been volunteering for 18 years, he is really nice. His name is Allan, and he kind of wobbles when he walks and mumbles when he talks. I could not understand what he was saying most of the time, but I did understand that he has seen the Grand Canyon before and how he really liked it.
