Don't ask why but I was just on the internet looking for the lyrics to "Don't Cry for me Argentina"... oh ok, we were just discussing which Lloyd Webber number we'd do if we were in last week's American Idol. I know, sad. Even sadder that we watch it in the UK and can't even vote! Anyway, I searched and found the following link... http://www.lyricsondemand.com/soundtracks/a/andrewlloydwebbe rlyrics/dontcryformeargentinamadonnalyrics.html
Now I don't know about you but I'm intrigued to know how those spoof lyrics got on that site.
Was it provided by an official source i.e. the record company and then sabotaged?
Is it peer contributors that make the site like Wikipedia?
Also, who wrote it and when? Although It comes up as "Madonna: Don't Cry for me Argentina" it seems directed at Barbara Streisand...
It's a mini mystery! |
