I have been having some problems but not the major problem you are having roe. I get the error page and have sent that to thoughts staff. Also when I get a new comment and click on it to find out which post received the new comment it says no new comments. So I have to go and search for the comment, what a drag that is. I hope they get things back on track soon.

I feel so bad for you. Like bigd49 I'm having trouble with the comment banner and I've been getting the error page a time or two. Also when I view my list of posts the comment number listed doesn't match the comments on the post. Several days ago, on one post, I had a comment total of minus 2. A bit fat zero looks sad enough, not to mention how one feels dipping into the negative numbers.

At this point I don't think it's anything you are doing wrong or can fix, especially when you mentioned that you signed into thoughts using another computer and had the same problem. That tells me the problem lies with the site and not your computer. The compose editor box isn't loading properly from thoughts end of things.

One other thought I had ... when you go to the compose post page look near the top of the blank box on the left hand side .... is there a very tiny arrow ... if there is click that and see if that helps. Mine resets itself but perhaps yours is stuck in the up position. I'm thinking with the holiday finding solutions to these problems won't get started until Monday morning. Take care my friend. Whoa Roe! I thought I was having issues and seeing things when it said I had a comment and then none showed up. Have you cleaned your cookies and temporary internet files? Try that if you have not. Comments box is getting me too...

THe format Box is nto an issue on my end...

I have a MACBOOk that I use sometimes, but it never, never pulls up the format box, so when I write my blogs I use my windows based PC... Now having said that I too feel that is definatly a site issue and I am sure the staff will get it figured out... Probably some software engineer that has one to many crown and cokes and hit the wrong command! :-P

One thing I have wondered is if the format box has anything to do with the office type software you have on your computer... You see on all my windows based computers, I have Microsoft Office... But on the MACBOOK I have no offcie edititiong software... I have not tested this theory only a thought...

Calm down Roe, take a deep breath... Looks like even with out your format tools you still knock us out of the park with your fantasic blogs...

It's definitely a site issue, not one local to your machine. Seems quite a few bugs popped out of the wordwork over the holidays. Just stay calm ad live with it til they get them resolved. Breathe deep and relax. It's not the end of the world.

idk if this has been told to you or not...butttt have you tried writing it in a word document or something similar off line and edit the style of it there and ctrl + c and then ctrl + v into the text box here and then when you get the pop up window ctrl + v it one more time and edit the spacing if needed there...idk if you have or havent or if it would even work

Yes, when you get the error message what you were doing went through, at least to the best I can tell. I got the same thing posting comments and if I clicked the go back button the it ended up reposting the same comment. That means the first one worked even though it displayed the error. translating that to email I'd say if you sent the message then got the error then your message went through. Clicking go back will likely resend the same message.

Seems like thoughs has been taken over by little buggie boos over the holidays. Could it be a concerted attack by nefarious forces or is it just bugs run amok?

Do we need raid or do we need to man the walls? Is this bugs or are we under attack? My gut feel is that some patch or update was applied and it went awry. I think we'll be okay once the thoughts staff gets a handle on it. In the man time we can live with a few bugs. It doesn't stop us from posting, from reading, from communicating. An that's what it's all about.
