THANKS FOR STOPPING BY MY BLOG
PLEASE DON'T BE A STRANGER
STRANGER
Its so funny now that people are starting to read my blogs....I'm sure I'll write that's another story often enough, but I will not have to say it as much. Instead I can just refer my friends to my blog....
oh that's ...in my Sept 11th and my terrorist turkey sandwich post, or my blind date story.
And my husband has no idea why everyone knows so much about him because he still does not have time to read my blog...its too much of an effort, they are way too long for him, its like work!
We were at a dinner the other night and quite a few people asked him if he really proposed to me by asking me to go look at rings with my mom, see my proposal entry.
Another person inquired about my surprise birthday party
the one that I threw for myself...
see .. How I planned my 40th surprise party post.
He wondered out loud about all the strange questions he was receiving.
I just looked at him and said, "Well, I guess some of these people read my blog"
He replied, "I don't have to read it, I live it!"
Well, I will give him that much!
Yesterday my son asked me to give him a ride back to college. I told him I'd be happy to take him,
under one condition,
he'd drive and let me read some of my stories to him.
If he wasn't in such a hurry,
I think he would have preferred the peace and quiet of the train
but I grabbed my opportunity and seized the moment.
It was the perfect set up.
He was strapped in a seat belt and he was highly motivated to go back to school.
I had been chasing him around the house all weekend asking if I could just read the
man leg story to him..see who has been sleeping in my sons bed, with the man leg post.
He kept putting me off till later. Now I had him right where I wanted him.
I use my blog as a threat to get the girls to do their chores...
"if you don't load this dishwasher, I am going to make you read my blog"
They will do almost anything to avoid a fate worse than death.
I feel so much more relaxed around here,
I am not trying so hard to get their feedback anymore,
I get plenty from perfect strangers and I am very appreciative.
Please keep those comments flowing.
I'm learning a lot by checking to see which stories you like,
and which ones you don't read.
My son actually made a very good suggestion.
(See how involved he actually was yesterday...I was in my glory)
He said I should ask people which story in and that's another story they would like to hear...
I have so many..to choose from, I don't know where to start.
Please don't be shy, send me an e mail or write a comment...I think I will start a thread in the community forum....if I can find my way over there. I'm still trying to figure out how all that works.
No matter, I'm just so glad I found people willing to read what I write,
it doesn't get any better than that....
and
that's another story.
thanks for stopping by
you all come back now, ya hear!
