I want passion
I want to be adored and cherished
I want to be held

I want to be touched

A hand on my knee, an arm around my shoulder, a hug, a kiss on the cheek
I want to have my feet and back rubbed just for the heck of it
and

I want you to want to do it,

I do not want it to be forced or mechanical

I want you to enjoy pleasing me,

I want to be desired
I want our birthdays and anniversaries to be a big deal
I want my space
I want attention
I want interesting, insightful conversation
I want to talk about feelings
I want to share ideas
I want us to have outside interests and close friends
And take long walks holding hands
I want you to work hard
I want us to support each other in our endeavors
I want us to look forward to time alone
and understand the need for solutitude
I want to be missed when I am not there
I want to be complimented
often
but it must be sincere
no sarcasm
I want to laugh and be silly
I always want to look beautiful in your eyes
even when I am not
I want to be spontaneous
I want to grow and learn new things together
I want to worship together
I want us to be good parents maintaining a united front
I want us to lead our family by example
I want our children to witness our love for each other
I want to be a loving Mother without the guilt
I want to be the kind of wife that you deserve
and you to be the man of my dreams
my soulmate
if thats possible
I want to develop new mutual interests
And I want us to give back to the world
I want each of us to read side by side
And be comfortable being quiet together
each doing our own thing in the same room
I want us to stick up for each other
and watch each others back
never lie to me or try to make me jealous
I want to discuss movies and books and current affairs
I want you to always be happy to see me or hear from me
I want you to miss me when I'm away
I want to catch you looking lovinly at me when you think I'm not looking
I want our faith to grow stronger and develop our relationship with God
I want to matter to you
I want to be appreciated
I want my opinion to count
I want to feel important to you
I want to be consulted and considered where decisions are concerned
and
I want romance
I want to dance!
I want to make you laugh
and see you smile... often
I want you to wink at me when we are in a group
I want to be reassured whenever needed
I want to be an equal partner
I want us to have fun
I want you to think I am truly funny
I want you to be my best friend
I want you to want to take an interest in my stories
I want us to feel connected to each other
I want to know you will always be there
I want us to have date night
I want to be surprised
I want to trust you with my life
total no doubt trust
I want us to be loyal to each other
I want to be valued
I want sympathy when I am sick or in pain or just plain need it
I want you to hear what I am saying
I want you to plan something unusual
I want the truth…
and nothing but the truth
if it doesn’t hurt my feelings
or
maybe even if it does
I want to be understood
I want you to get me
I want lots of eye contact
and to
see love reflected in your eyes
I never want us to take each other for granted
I want us to be madly attracted to each other
I want us to be in the mood more often than not!
I want to be the first person you look for when you have good news or bad
And I want to look for your ear when I have something on my mind
I want to go to sleep holding hands and wake up with a kiss
I want our love to be mutual
I want some Spice in my Life!
That’s all…is that too much to ask?
I think it might be
But in a perfect world

I wrote this when the spice girls were popular
I thought I lost it, but found an old copy tonight
