Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in
Ralph Waldo Emerson:

Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.

------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------
What does this mean to you?
What do you believe in?

I believe in faith and patience. David had both. God took care of his enemies for him and David then became King of Israel in it's greatest era simply because he had them both.

To me it means that those who take responsibility for the situation have power to improve it. Whereas those who attribute it all to luck. ... Well, the best they can hope for is to be lucky enough to have good strong men around. As opposed to bad strong men.

People who believe in luck will tend to do less or nothing, but those who believe in cause and effect will work hard to achieve what they want in life. For me personally, I also believe that a lot of times fate also plays an important part in our life.

Luck only works if your lucky. If your not your out of luck. I tend to put my faith in cheese. I mean, think about the many different ways cheeses come into being. I would bet that for every emotion there is a matching cheese!

interesting thought, one that never would have occured to me,
um, lets see
say cheese, makes me smile for some reason, ??? If I had to much time on my hands I would delve into this further, but of course, I dont but just to taste the water so to speak, this may sound a bit cheesy, and I am not into cheesecake, or pointing fingers at the guy who cut the cheese, if I was to string you along a bit, we all know string cheese was a favorite of the kite runner, and if I was to go a little crackers on you, I might throw a few facts in your direction about where certain cheeses might have originated, I asked the mailman on cheers and this is what he said

we all know that munster came from hermen munster, american, discovered by the Indians, swiss, from Switzerland of course, godiva, for divas, goatcheese came from goats, or someone wanting to goat you, acorn cheese, grow on trees, basketcheese, from basketcases, bath cheese, from dirty people without showers, sweet style cheese, easy going cheeses, beer cheese from drunks, bleu cheese from depressed ones, blue vein cheese from arrogant depressed people, Bosworth from charlies angels, bra cheese from a big boob, brick cheese from a tough guy, wigmore from bald people, cottage cheese, from someones summer home, curd cheese from a nerd, derby cheese from a horse, farmer cheese from the farmer in the dell, folded cheese from a neat freak, fountainebleau, from a hotel/night club, gabriel from an angel, gospel green from a preacher into the envirement, marbled cheeses from someone who lost theirs, similiar to myself, maribo cheese, a smoker, and I had better go before I begin to age even more than I already have since I started this....tootles
