Ok People, better BACKUP ...and read this one
Recently I lost the second half of an old post
…probably because
I had attempted to add something

I mentioned this to a new member
in an e-mail who then began to worry
about his body of work.

So I tried to reassure him
that it was most likely my own fault!

And since the very same issues,
were going to be the subject of today’s post
I thought I’d delete what I had originally started
and get that poor rough and tumble draft
out of the draft room,
before it caught
pneumonia

Hey I Figured
I could save myself some time
If I go to the craft room and get a little paste
then do a little copy/pasting
and
in an instant
Id have my new post!
 no muss no fuss
…thank God for paste!

 Here
almost word for word
ok
I admit
I tweaked it a bit, not to be confused with twittered
then
added a bit more
to the already lengthy e mail

oh ...Regardless
Here is my reply and also my post
with Elmer’s help!

Do not be too worried about your valuable posts, especially the ones you slaved over, with the exception of your popular ones, lol just kidding!

Although some people, not I
Of course,
Keep a back up!

I attempted to scan and make a copy of all of them last summer...

Actually I decided to pay my youngest daughter to do it
at my husband’s office
as her summer employment.

Now you would think
she would be happy to assist me in my endeavor
at least for the money .

She told me and her sister Sam concurred,

that it was an enormous waste of paper as well as time, and energy!
So boring

Hey, I knew it would be,
that’s why I had her do it!
Sadly,
she never completed the task,
said I had way too many and she would rather clean toilets!

And what do you know?

 summertime has arrived once again
right on schedule
 how time flies!!!!

And I still cannot seem to interest her in the project
besides,
now there are even more long boring stories,
or what the family refers to as
paper wasters

How do you like that for a kick in the teeth?

This is the subject of the post I'm writing today.
In fact
It is patiently waiting in my drafts
at this very moment!
I digress

I suppose I should just keep a copy of everything
in Word
Although

Then you lose the comments
and as you and I know,
Sometimes those are even better than the post itself!

Oh well, just another thing to add to my
Too too many things to do list!

Back to the disappearing act...
Or the case of

"The missing links!"

I believe I might have done it myself.
I attempted to add 2 more links to my list of links on an old post

and I do not have the slightest clue
...how......or why the poof occurred!

Strange... I might be able to understand this debacle
There is that  7 letter word again
I’m going to wear that poor thing out
I use it way too often
Dah
I wonder why?
Here are a few synonyms

Disaster
Catastrophe
Fiasco
Shambles
Tragedy
Devastation
Calamity
misfortune
Farce

Told ya!

I digressed

Now
If I mistakenly
 hit delete instead of edit
I WOULD UNDERSTAND
THE REASON FOR MY

MISFORTUNE
CALAMITY
FIASCO
DISASTER
Catastrophe

By the way
Have you noticed how those two suckers are dangerously close to each other, sort of like the Olson twins, and a subject I have mentioned before?
another story

However,
The weird part is
The entire thing did not go poof
The first half was totally in tact

While the second part, with the exception of 2 lines
Disappeared off the face the earth and
are comingling
with my other
lost thoughts
Floating
happily
I hope
in cyberspace

I should have lived toward the end of the 1800’s
I might have been very knowledgable back then

In what area, I’m not real sure,

Nevertheless,
WAIT
maybe not the very end of the 1800’s
because way too much was happening
during that time period
as well

and certainly not
in the beginning of the 1900’s

most likely I would have been
just as confused
with the worlds progress
at that particular time
in history

Where was I?

Oh yeah
please don’t be worried

Just start saving them from now on
I guess?

And since you are computer savvy,
scan them and put them on a disc?
Is that how you say it?
I’m not sure?
Although I am sure,
I have no idea how to do it.

I used to drop hints over and over again
to my kids
that the greatest present
they could ever give me
would be a book of my blogs

Or web posts
or
posts
or whatever people are calling them these days,
I call them stories
but no one took the bait
So
I suppose I am sol
Unless I do it myself?

You know, this e mail
might
end up
being
almost word for word
my new post
I digress.

And how are you today?

hehehe, well done! :)

Maybe it's hard to program but I've blogged on other sites and they had it setup where you could ftp download all of your blog files for backup or whatever. It would be nice if they could do that here but then again, this is a free site and already offer quite a bit for 0 dollar so I can't complain all that much.

Take care Roe! :) xxxx

I agree with Mr Bob....All of those things are great but to have thoughts for free is a blessing honestly:) Enjoyed this post. You make me laugh Roe:)

That is true, always have a backup. I back up my blogs on my flashdrive with the date posted.

I have to start doing that, if I only had a flashdrive, I believe I have an automatic 4 wheel drive?
