O G.here R more letters that give us problems
O ...G!this is a public service announcement...G seems like the letter everyone is talking about these days?...Since, I’ve already shared my G problems (the missing g problem)I thought I would take this opportunity to discuss a few other letters of the alphabet....Many fellow bloggers have mentioned that they are having problems with the security codes... G wiz....I posted this in the forums but I am still convinced some people who blog never go to the forums and vice versa, but that’s another story...The first thing to do when you can’t figure out the security code is to hit "refresh" over and over until you are able to see it clearly. That is always my number one solution. It’s even better than burning candles or opening windows when we need a little fresh air!....and O...G....here are few more tips that might help...sometimes a 5 will look like and S and vice versa and sometimes a g will look like a 6 and vice versa ....occasionally letters and numbers will be on top of each other or leaning on one another....so a y might look like a v until you step back and look at it in another way...there are many ways to look at a problem and its always a good idea to step back and think about it a little more before you start hitting things like posts or people or giving up.......you might see a tail, which means there is another number or letter connected to it, and that happens a lot with X, Y, V and W....a 1 only has a little thing on the top while a 7 has a longer or larger thing....some of us like to visualize a cute little baseball cap and the thing is the lid or visor and the visor of the 1 is smaller, more appropriate for a little kid than the visor of the 7 a bigger cap for an adult....some of you might prefer to think of those things on the top of the 1 and the 7 as tongues, so one tongue is sticking out further than the other....I am a cap person, but hey, if you like tongues better, more power to you! Whatever floats your boat or your posts...It up to your individual taste,.... buds, no tongue taste bud pun inteneded....well maybe.... hey, its my posts, I can do whatever I want...I digess....and....O....G....I am sure you know about the 0 (zero) and the O, (the letter) G, most of you know the letter is fatter but it’s tricky, try both before you.... quit....Please feel free to add a few more ideas of your own if you have discovered something you would like to share with the rest of us...instead of screaming at the computer...this is really not worth having a breakdown over people!...And if you are not having a security problem, reading this is just a waste of your time...Go do something else worthwhile!...better yet....write a good post that we would like to read!...and now ...that I figured out how to get that flag notice off my home page, the blog spot wont let me center or change font....thats another story....stay tuned...its a long story

Ok I really did not mind that notice thing that seemed to really bother some bloggers, I was actually fond of it but tonight in the forums, someone told us how to get rid of it, so I did exactly what I was told and that little notice guy was gone and I feel like a part of me is missing and may I add, be careful what you wish for, so now
I tried writing this post no less than 4 times and it kept disappearing and then finally, this is what I eneded up with, no spaces, cant change font or center it and I had this problem months ago and I had to use firefox to fix it, but I had to use internet explorer to get rid of the little notice guy that I really never noticed, like I said, it didnt bother me, it just sat therre minding its own buiness! well, now its gone and my post a new post is broken....
Its a darn good thing I am not easily deterred!

Now I have to figure out this new problem
first the missing g, now the missing notice guy and to top it all off, the controls are missing now! Just great!

Oh my! It was actually yours truly who discovered the remedy for removing the notice thing. I agree the top of the page looks "different" without it. Hopefully your centering and font options will be waiting for you when you return to thoughts via Firefox. After removing the notice I immediately signed out of thoughts and went back to the Firefox browser, which seems to work best for me. Earlier this week the letters were dropped from the security codes -- dealing with only numbers makes posting much easier. Good Luck. Peace.

What notice? What flag? I want to remove mine too! :)

Glad you are back to typing Roe. I have missed you and all of your wonderful randomness! *hugs*

Roe - you are a riot! Giving us hingts on how to deal with letters in the security cdes after they've removed them! Well better late then never.

You should post how to get rid of that update flag for all of us who don't read the forums.

For those who don't read the forums the update flag (which rests on the top right hand side of your screen -- on the welcome-help line) can be removed by clicking on it while signed into thoughts using the Internet Explorer browser. Once the update flag is removed sign out of thoughts, close Internet Explorer and return to your preferred browser.

Hi toots! Did you see Circe made a little visit yesterday, she might be on line a bit today! I was so happy I finally had a chance to talk to our dear friend 2 days ago. Stickman already knows, he knows every thing! Mr Stick is my hero...I do not think he has ever been confused a single day in his badlydrawn life!

Toots, I digressed a lot in this one, just for you!

Thanks CD for sharing your solution in order to help bloggers with the little symbol removal task. Tony, I hope it helps...warning....beware of the repercussions if you do not return to firefox.

Should we make an announcement about that? Perhaps, that is not a good idea... So...Nevermind.

Heather, you were probably able to get rid of the little guy on your own ...ages ago. Just in case, for your sake ...here is an FYI, it was the notice that people were given ...a while back letting everyone know there was an important announcement that thoughts.com did not want anyone to miss.

Seems, certain people were unable to get rid of the reminder...and much to my surprise... it made many members very irate ... after reading the announcement ...the little reminder logo, or icon, or symbol, or whatever you call it (I named mine...my "little guy.... He was a pleasant fellow, never bothered me...another story)..... yet for some, it stayed long past its welcome... sort of like a visiting relative.

Moving along...To make sure I wasn't totally out of touch, I checked the security department in the forums this morning and they were still employing letters for our protection.

Although I was totally in the dark about the removal of the said letters in our homeland security department ...posting blog section.
I never received a letter about that change...or a notice, maybe that's because they were not even sending letters anymore...

They probably needed the ones who did not get fired for the forums? This economy touches everything...

Boy if only they had removed the G when I didn't have one, (mine fell off...remember) Then I could have made my way past those diligent guards...who were only doing their job ...protecting us from each other....and any outside harm. Now they are probably waiting in the unemployment line and to make matters worse, most likely they were told to ... TAKE A NUMBER...talk about rubbing it in!

Now if there is anything else I should be aware of, other than the fact that there has been much debate about the letter G and here I thought they were talking about my missing G....please, don't hold back! Roe loves to be in the know!

Did all of you know that yesterday was my 23rd Wedding anniversary...just thought I'd mention it...(for about 3 or 4 years my husband had been called "lucky Joe" but for the rest of the marriage, he has been referred to as "poor Joe" Personally, I resent that, another story, I know I know!!!!

...but as I mentioned in another post, when I die, my tombstone will read,
"HERE LIES THE BODY OF POOR JOE'S WIFE"

I am sure if that happens, thoughts will make an announcement to let you know... they will just have to dust off that little guy in order for all of you to pay your proper respects.

Boy I bet that will really tick some people off!

another FYI...no car pooling,I want a long line.

Now when I go through security department ...to post my rather lengthy comment...I pray that my number is not up!

Oh my dear tootsie!
You are such a goofmeister!
I love the unemployed letters! HAHAHAHAAAA!
Where DO you come up with that stuff?
love ya!
:)

this "stuff" just falls out of my head and most of my family thinks its a curse, not a blessing. so thanks toots!

Now that I have your attention, that is if I e mail you again....
what would you do if you were me?

I just posted a TEST
to see if I could write a new post today with all the controls working....

well I am happy to report, its in working order,
the test was a complete success,
so
should I fix this one, go back in and edit the sucker or leave it alone?
If I fix it, people who dropped over to read this one might be confused...
and they might never return?

although
I would not be the only member to be confused ...once in awhile
yet,
I would hate to be the cause of that state of mind
and impose it on any other human being
its not pretty, so I probably should leave it alone?

What do you think?
