my thoughts are an opened unpublished book
A blogger made a comment on a post
that she had a
burning desire to write.
So do I!
There must be a lot of us with this urge!
sometimes I feel like I am about to burst
if I don't get something down on paper
I'll use whatever is handy
I have even written on a band aid
What is this all about?
Why do some people
 feel compelled to write?

and actually experience a sence of loss
when for one reason or another
we are unable
to jot down our thoughts for awhile?

We actually go through a sort of writing withdrawl

I have gotten myself in trouble many times because I write everything down!
But I can't help myself
but thats another story!

yet
most of my thoughts are
an
opened
unpublished
book!

I am an artist and poet. Creating is something we have to do. We are unhappy unless we do it. I don't know where it comes from or where it goes when it goes away. All I know is it just blows me away sometimes.

greenersky made a comment that makes sense to me 'empty the mind'

alot of my writing comes from the need to do just that.... i'm constantly thinking...constantly. and now that i've started to carry a notebook around to jot thoughts down in, i notice it more than ever. everything seems like a tiny gem that might get lost & never make the impression on the world it may have had potential for if u don't document it in some way.

i'm rambling now but i too have marveled at this & wondered where it comes from or why i am the way i am. nice to kno i'm not alone tho ;o)

None of you are alone. For their is me. I feel compelled to write too. Sometimes I feel that I will die if I don't do it.

But yet there are days when I just can't do it.

But that is my favorite thing to do.

Here here Gwatlan... That's the same for me.

I know of several people like you though, Rose. They wake up in the night with something in their heads to write and they get up and write it before it's gone.

I love to read other's stories.
