The lovely and talented women who finally read my story years ago...and actually offered me money to publish it in the paper....see post honk if you are in the neighborhood and future post...thank God I finally listened to my husband...sent me this e mail today, she is an editor at the Chicago Tribune and Im so jealous she has a book deal, but thats another story...


Here it is, you never know...get out those boxes and bins and see what you can come up with, try to locate that perfect photo that you know you have that would be absolutely perfect for her book...and to those of you organized individuals who know exactly where that picture is...I guess you could send it in too.  But I dont want to be good friends with you...I feel bad enough about my lack of organization, I don't need you to rub it in.  However, please know, I do not wish you any ill will. and thats another story...

A co-worker and I have a book deal (deadline is Nov. 1, which feels like it's mere moments away; book would be out in time for Christmas 2008)...and we're looking for pix of kids crying on Santa's lap. Or looking bored, worried, hypnotized, etc. Also looking for scary Santas...we have one who looks like Dick Cheney, another who looks like he's heading to his parole board hearing...how scary is that?  (Book is based on a feature we've run in the Q section in 2003 and 2006, called Scared of Santa.)
