I have sad sad news...Poor Max is in Boone dog hospital. He swallowed what appears to be a quarter, that's why he was throwing up and not acting like himself for a few days. They are going to operate tomorrow to get it out.
They have to keep him there to give him fluids and watch him until tomorrow morning when they operate.
I guess they also need to see....if there is any change...pun intended...
They are not sure if its a quarter, but they know its bigger than a penny and its metal.
Its not good to have metal inside you especially when you are a dog...
and they are also checking for parasites in his stool.
I felt so bad leaving him at the
boonedocs all alone.
Poor Molly
on the other hand
was up all night throwing up,
consequently, so was I....
not throwing up
but up all night
Her illness has nothing to do with money or heavy metal....
she threw up more than 20 times,
all over everything including my bed spread
and she was not even supposed to be in my bed
another story.
(what a mess, hundreds of towels)
lots of laundry today
It was pink
I told the vet
and I kept wondering what she had eaten that was pink
a dot?
a sweedish fish
a juicy fruit
a red coin
all of which could have been laying on the floor of my daughtes room
the room that I refer to
as the scarey bad place
when I shoo the dogs out of that so called bedroom
I have to always make sure that door is closed
or Im afraid of what will happed to the poor little pups
I found them wandering around in there the other day unattened and I had a bad feeling
once my son had kelly green poop and I was hysterical
I called the pediatrician
in a panic
Doc, Doc, JRs poop is green
He thanked me for sharing that info with him
and assured me my son was fine
Doc, how could he be fine
HIs poop is green as green as the chicago river on st pattys day
he said that it was a simple explaination
I must have given him blue food
Doc, now come on
I never gave my son blue food
I cant even think of any food that is blue
sure enough
my husband had given him a blue popcycle
thats another story
this is not a blue story
although it is truly sad
this is a pink story
so what could Molly have eaten to turn her by products pink
She mightt have eaten a crab apple...Im always grabbing stuff out of her mouth, when we are out walking
last week it was a dead mouse...can you believe it
I,
a former dog avoider,
actually took a mouse out of my puppys mouth without throwing up myself.
thats another story
I had all night to try to figure out what she might have gotten into
Joe was not too thrilled after the dog turned a portion of our bedspread pink, thank God he didnt see the pink pillowcase. We were asked in a very polite way to leave, so I ended up on the couch, with Molly, as she gagged and puked pink all night. It reminded me of that Dr Souse story...when the snow turns pink......I do not think I had a single clean towel in my entire house by morning.
When Joe asked me how it went last night
I told him
I was in the pink
then all of a sudden my husband woke up from his bout of amnesia....
he remebered giving the dogs a new kind of bone yesterday, one with a pinkish/red center....
If I knew he was the one who made Molly stink pink
I might not have been the one in the dog house last night....
The vet said never give a dog, especially a little dog
anything like that, it makes them throw up.
I can attest to that
Classic case of
Info too late.
Molly was dehydrated...
they gave her 2 shots and some fluids
and
sent me home with special food and 2 medicines to give her twice a day.
She is very sad
max her big brother isn't here.
Poor Max was really barking when I left.
I need dog health insurance...this is going to cost a fortune....
OMG!
just wait till Joe sees the bill
Max will not be the only one barking
Do you think Max might have swollowed a golden nugget
the size of a quarter?
Do you think I could be back in the dog house again tonight
Maybe I wont tell him how much the surgury is going to cost
till tomorrow
I need a good nights sleep
