Max and Molly are laying on their backs on the couch next to me with all 4 of their legs in the air! 
Well 8 to be exact!
The poodles are sound asleep. 
If you pick up a paw, it just falls back into place. 
They look so cute and peaceful. 
Whenever we go anywhere they beg us to take them along.
The two of them climb into the puppy carrier on their own if they think we are heading out the door.
If we do venture somewhere without them,
whenever we come home
the puppies practically jump out of their skin,
 so happy to see us. 
Their little tails wag at full speed!

They remind me so much of my kids when they were little.

I remember when they were babies and I used to look at them while they were fast asleep.
 Their little arms would stick up in the air and they would remind me of puppy paws. 
They always wanted to tag along with us,
even if only to do a couple errands.
and
 All reunions, no matter how long we were seperated 
an hour
a day
a few minutes
were wonderful heartwarming events. 

now those same paws occasionally resemble claws
and they could care less when we go out
and they certainly have no desire to come along
and
most of the time
none of them
even
 notice when we return

actually
 they never really knew we were gone but thats another story

maybe thats why God created Puppies
so when your kids move on to independance
which is the natural order of things
instead of feeling lost and abandoned
you have little creatures who will be your babies forever
and will always be happy to see you and want to hang out every chance they get
so that sense of being needed is not interrupted
because no matter how much we complain
being needed is a good feeling
and whenever you are able to take the focus off of yourself
and tend to something or someone else
