the second I was about to hit post entry
my husband and daughter entered the room and said

oh
you are on the computer again!

you disappeared
and you never came back

oh jeeze!
Ive heard of writers block before
and I never worried about it ever happening to me
now Im not so sure
I have a different form of writers block

its my family blocking me from writing...

OMG ROE!!!! that is sooo funny, and soooo familiar! I too get "The Incredibles" (insert latest kids movie here) with us... blah blah blah blah.

So you know what I did??
I set up my wireless, bought a laptop and now I do both.

I sit with the kids (sometimes) typing away, while glancing at the funny bits on the TV!

You are NOT alone :)

I live alone so I dont have anyone hounding me about where I am and how much time I spend online, until I realize that I have let things go around here and need to be my own little nagger and make myself take a break. Great post Roe!

So sorry, sweetie, all I can say is, your time is coming soon. Very soon, you will have some time for you. Spend it wisely, use some of it for long lunches, dreaming, and napping. THE reward for raising children, and getting them out of the house.

Even if you have to hide in the closet with a flashlight, don't stop writing. We love your blogs!

Oh Roe, I so totally understand. I get teased by my family for sitting on the computer, but for goodness sake, what harm are we doing. We could be drinking, smoking, gambling and going out with strange men. Hmmmm what are you doing Wednesday????

In the same boat. i mean i am used to wireless internet and being on my own lap top sitting by myself in the dorm or anywhere on campus i have written even short stories over a freakin squirrel haha but now being home for the summer we have one computer and our wireless does not work. i could write on my lap top and save it and then transfer it onto here so it would not take very long. but i get bitched at all the time cause my mom checks her email, my dad searches for cars and boats and houses that he can never get and my older sis looks at wedding stuff, houses, and shops for clothes. so my excuess is i am doing homework. I do my homework and do this so they cant tell. they do get mad though and frustrated but they have no idea what i write and till they respect me then i might open up and show them but whatever...i like your post very funny

Rose, Just woke up to the 'new look' Thoughts and I HATE it!!!! I almost felt like switching off and running away. Why on God's earth have they taken away font, paragraphs and everything else? It's madness. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Can't wait to hear what you think. E

when Nicole was only 2 and she woke up at a unbelievable early hour
I would put her in my bed, fill it with books and toys and turned on the tv and when she wasnt looking, I had my eyes closed..got in a few more sneaky winks
well, those were my high jinks, I do not think I could have managed a lap top and anything else...the bed isnt big enough
