| day 2 in Vegas |
|
Day 2 started out with a little networking and some delicious treats
Those big thinkers think of everything, cuz they are positively sweet
Valantina and her mom Rownie went to great lengths making things special for us
Even their grinning 9 month old son Jason was a perfect host who never fussed
Ben truly wants to make his site better than it already is
This generous entrepreneur is a perfectionist in the fast paced blogging biz
His dream was to form a community where great minds would meet and post their points of view
As a result Ben focused on his pet project because there was so much work to do
Our deep thinker is a quintessential idea man
His talent plus intelligence and sensitivity makes me a loyal fan
Ben's stunning wife is his devoted detail person always standing by his side
Thoughts.com and little Jason are two of their babies...and for both...they possess enormous pride
Bens cousin Ryan and wife Shannon are part of Bens vision in this dot calm world of theirs
I couldnt think of 2 nicer more perfectly matched pairs
During our informative meeting with Bens guys from Canada, the team was trying to cope with our limited knowledge in all things high tech
The dynamic duo were taking notes, problem solving, finding solutions, all without making us feel like we were pains in the neck
All the grateful winners were wearing their new powder blue t shirts with the thought lego on our chest
and just when we were about to wrap we were told we had a surprise guest
It was George Bush and his administrative assistant who accompanies him on road trips and such
They are very close, however, let me assure you, they never touch
Mr. Bush congratulated us on our blogs and threads...and coincidently had previously read quite a few
It must have been an off day at the White House...without much else to do
The President wanted to know which one among us was named Roe
inquired about the pooches and asked us to point out poor Joe
He engaged every winner discussing some particular post
Afterwards he even gave us a spectacular toast
The head of our country commended us for generating interest on the site
It was truly an honor to be there with everyone that night
Ryan took videos and recorded the memorable event
Then we all had a photo op with the guy Ben found to rent
Did I mention John Morgan, aka Barbara's son, plays a mean guitar?
To honor us, he and his wife Kathy had to travel quite far
This talented entertainer and his beautiful red headed wife are another story, for another post, sometime
Yet, when I write it, please dont expect it to rhyme
It was hysterical watching the reaction to our little entourage while out and about with our famous impersonator
we received stares and double takes from the hard core gamblers to the over worked waiters
Our fabulous dinner was finally ordered after we figured out where the menus were hidden
wrapped around our napkins, and when someone told me, I thought they were kidding
the wine as well as the conversatiom was flowing
Ben and Valentina were glowing
Difficult Soul could not make it this time and we all felt really bad
we talked about our favoite bloggers and recounted some of the expreiences we had
Scotslad60 has the cutest Scottish accent of all, I could sit and listen to him all night
Danielle the love of his life, pointed out he has a way with words alright
Waynes sense of humor is second to none
Being around this guy and his wife is nothing but fun
Jacob is benventures big brother who decided to join thoughts.com
who knows, we might even persuade his sis and his mom
Paulagain has always been like an advisor
but on vacation he's known as a late riser
Ben shared with us some of the mishaps thoughts had encountered
trying to make improments to the site
he encourages feedback and comments and takes nothing light
after dinner we attended the versatle Wayne Brady show
Our fake Bush joined us to witness a guy on stage hurt his toe
fun was had by all once again
thanks to our gracious host Ben
