could you tell me why you broke up with Brian in the first place and how long were you going out and how often did you see him and had he ever told you he loved you and did he introduce you to his family and was he ever married before and how old is he and what does he do for a living and how did you meet him and who made the first move and where did you go on your first date and when did you fall in love with him, that is, if you are indeed in love with him...and how old is he and was he really into you and did you have alot in common and did you ever go swimming together and did he ever cook for you and did he take you to nice places and who paid....ok

What you are now discovering are all the things you like and don't like about a number of different men. Its like a recipe, you add a little of this, omit that, try it out, take a taste and occasionally, you will discover maybe he needs a bit of sugar or that one needs a dash of salt. Someday, one guy will have all the right ingredients,
who will possess
everything it takes to satisfy your appetite.
In the case of Brian, since you had such a bad experience, seems like you set out looking for someone who was his complete opposite. Perhaps, he had a few traits you did like, so you have to factor those into the equation and make sure the next guy doesnt have the things that you did not like those things that gave you such a bad taste, you just wanted to spit!
One more thing, even though you did not ask, I wouldnt tell Brian anything about how you are feeling, you would only be going backwards, don't waste your time looking back, its time to look where you are going and not where you have been. I trust you will make good choices, just keep us posted, I hate when you skip a day.

perhaps, you should consider another plan, I dont think this one is the best one for you. hang in there, you will not always feel this bad, but...you need to feel, searching for numbness is not the answer...be brave, feel what you need to feel and then move on...I once wrote, If I feel anything at all, I dont feel hungry...that works with
if I feel sad, I cry, and if I feel happy, I laugh...do what you have to do and feel whatever it is that you are avoiding...you go girl, I will cheer you on, but you have to be present...you cant check out, or you will never FEEL BETTER.

and yes, I forgot all about having the cast removed...it was tramatic alright!
I thought they were going to saw my leg in half! Now I can vividly recall all the gory details.
I did not even recognize my own leg, it was skinny and scrawny and hairy and wrinkled! I never ever thought it would ever match my other leg! But, the body is amazing, the way it can heal itself!

When I first arrived at thoughts.com, I received some very good advice. A women wrote to tell me she loved my story but hated the font I chose. She said it was distracting, so I changed it and she was right. I just wrote a post tonight about background color. I think people should stick to white or at least a light color, because sometimes you can not see the words, let alone read them. Enjoy you time on this site and welcome.

I have no idea what you are talking about today, a behive repels a fly, a beehive mind is stuck on something, something that you cant swat? Swat are you talking about? A beehive is also a hairdo and a hairdo mind is harried? And time does fly by especially when You are harried? a mole in a hole, maybe you are making a mountain out of a mole hill with a hole? or you have a mole on your cheek and you need it removed and it will leave a hole in your head which is close to your mind, and Im out of mine right now?
now as far as doublebooking our gal circe, I have no idea how that happened, maybe she has a twin and they were seperated at birth and now the two of them have come full circe? Who knows, ask the mole?

you were right about God, he should be the center of everything and if you make your boyfriend your whole life, you will regret it someday. You need to make a life for yourself and then you will add to his life and vice versa. I think you are just going through a period where you are questioning your values and trying to figure out who you are..thats so normal. Dont be so hard on yourself, go outside and get some fresh air and laugh a little. I get you, and another thing, never ever give up writing...ok, promise!

I totally agree. I have been writing since I was a young girl. Sometimes I write so I can figure out whats on my mind and if its a problem, I write to find a solution or to vent...Im so glad we have such a great tool to release feelings that build up.

I think people realize just because you put something down on paper, you still have a right to change your mind...you cant always be held to it. People who dont take a stand on anything dont have any guts.
You said and I quote "narrow-minded people who criticize someones writing. Yeah yeah, criticize grammar - criticize technique and style. Maybe some of us are university teachers who have some perversion to lower case and improper punctuation. Maybe some of us are janitors who hold a masters or two. Does it matter?"
I always use lower case and no one has ever said a word about it. Maybe Im just lucky, and you are right, it does not matter...did someone do that to you?
As far as people putting you down for grammar etc, I personally have never read anyones post with a correction in their comments like that. Im sure they must be out there but its not my experience. All I ever notice are very kind people who care and when they read a post where the author seems to be feeling blue, they take it upon themselves to try to cheer them up. I dont see anything wrong with that. I think its is really nice. People are very generous with their time and advice and personally I really appreciate it. If someone doesnt want any comments they can make their blogs private. I noticed you did on a recent post. I hope you feel hugged by all the rest of your comments.

I too live outside in the spring, summer and fall. I had always wanted a screened in porch attached to our house. We do have one at our cottage, but thats another story. We spend more time here. My hubby was against it, so one mothers day he came home with a portable gazebo, and I call it my tent! I love it, and when I spend time in there I am just so conTENT. I have been known to call up a friend and ask them if they would like to come over and sit in my tent!

it never ends, no matter what your age, making decisions is tough, but you cant be frozen, you have to make them and its ok if you make a mistake, its not the end of the world, you learn from mistakes, at least you know what not to do.

My best days are days I do not look in the mirror and do not think about myself. My dad told me not to worry about that zit or whatever, people are too concerned about themselves to be thinking about you. That helps me alot, People are not always judging you, believe me. stop listening to the negative things and start thinking about all the positive things you have going for you. If you feel so low, that you cant even think of one, I can, you are breathing and you can write and someday you might be able to describe how you are feeling to someone else who feels this way. No one understand better than you. This blog is a good record of your thoughts at this sad time in your life, but its only temporary. You will be all better and feeling good about yourself someday, trust me and think of all the people you could help.

IM so sorry you are feeling so bad. All I can say, I will pray for you. It seems... tonight, I am being led to all sorts of people who are feeling really low. there must be a reason? Try to rent some movies that will make you laugh. Seriously, I have done alot of research on laughter, and it does help with pain, both physical and emotional. If you are interested, I will give you some web sites.

Welcome, hey, there is nothing to worry about, ..except occasionally you might lose a good comment or post... so my advice to you is to always make a copy before you post anything. I had written a very funny comment to you and it went poof and Im too tired to try to remember it...something to do with this being a great place to keep a record of your thoughts and cargo?

did I mention how tired I am, I spent the day cleaning my parents place, they came home from Florida tonight after spending the winter there and I wanted to fill their place with flowers and make everything clean and fresh for them, even cleaned out thier kitchen cabinets and their pantry, but the real back breaker was their balcony, cob webs, mud, goose poop, leaves, rusty stuff...I need a shower, nite

I relate to everything you said from cleaning up before the maid to the shoebox full of broken crayons. Put on some on your favorite music and dance around while you clean. At least it will be alot more fun. Good luck

Actually, Scotslad, now that I think about it, I really dont like all the "sex" parts. I never watched the show when it was on, because my kids were still awake and it aired on Sunday evenings, and I did not think it was appropriate for family viewing, but I did catch a number of reruns, and I just love watching Jessica Parker. I enjoyed seeing all the clothes and I loved the romance with Big, lots of people, not going to mention any names, have had a BIG in their lives...a guy you have great passion for, but know he is not Mr. Right, etc etc... another story, a long one, I digress. I might compare it to someone who only reads a magazine for the articles not the pictures...I adore a love story and a fun romp, and sex and the city had an abundance of that.
