Before class, a large group gathered and began to discuss what happened on the site the previous evening. A few students made copies of the "fight" and began passing them around. Some of the co eds were reading while others were involved in an animated discussion... should the members report trouble makers to the site, and then drop it, or should they go after them, and take the law into their own hands so to speak. Some were pointing out the fact that making comments or writing posts about it, only fuels the fire, some say they believe certain people go looking for offensive posts to let off some steam, other members of the class think that bloggers should defend each other, afterall, they are like a family, and no one messes with a member of "the family"
In the back of the room another student had taken it upon herself to make copies of all the posts that were written in response to the incident...a few kids were trying to help her sort the piles of papers she had in her overflowing folder
there were so many posts
written by bloggers who were sick and tired of the fighting and name calling
another bunch contained all the people who used the incident for their next post
the third pile....people who wanted to keep the fire burning and garner more comments
another category was quickly named
"the voices of reason"
there were a number of posts that did not fit into any of the other piles
and while the entire room was in motion, John attempted to count
the "I quit, sick of this shit" pile
the class seemed to be divided about how to handle blog riots and rants
some were supporters of the rimo rule
report
ignore
move
on
others were proponents of fsb game
flame
slam
blame
game
The teacher enters the room and can't help but notice ......
to be continued
