a buyers market or is it buyers remorse?
 A real tomatoe...
a fellow blogger
mentioned how he had recently become the proud owner
or maybe not so proud owner
of
a number of items
which reminded me of some of my terrific finds!

I bought one of those steamer things that look like a genie pot.
It removes gunk.
It is fabulous.
I love it...after the water heats up and I get that thing going,
I am like a gunk terminator...
I go on the search for gunk and I have plenty of it...in my fridge, on my electric toothbrush, on my tile, etc.

I also purchased a label maker,
but when I ran out of tape,
I never used it again,
even though I truly loved it and had labled everything in sight,
(you should have seen my kids forheads)

I havent been able to find the right size tape replacement...

I own a food sealer,
that prevents freezer burn,
and its still in the box,
and its only about 8 to 10 years old...
I cant wait to try it,
if I ever remember where I put it?

I have a hand held recorder
its a tiny little thing
used for pod casts
I was supposed to send something to a radio station
but I cant figure out how it works
and truthfully
I really dont understand
pod casts?

I picked up a steamer for clothes
and I love it
I used it on my daughters graduation gown
from 8th grade
and thank God
another daughter is graduating from high school this May
I wouldnt want to waste money

I waited in a long line for a thing called
dazzle
its red and looks real cool
it does something with photos
but I forgot what it actually does?

I picked up one of those egg shaped things that take dead skin off your feet
what a great invention
it really works
only last time I used it
I took some skin that was still alive
ouch

Just the other day I discovered something that looks like a tiny stapler
and seals snack bags and cereal bags etc
but it needs batteries
I will be using that device daily as soon as I get the batteries

I think I had better stop
just in case
"poor Joe" decides
to break down
and actually
 read one of my posts

don't worry
I think Im pretty safe
thats another story
but
just in case
he is better off not knowing
what marvelous modern conviences I have hidden all over the house

I bought a little key chain at Walgreens that enables you to download pictures on to and carry around with you but I can not get it to work...maybe because it did not have any directions and I am technically challenged?

hi hollis,
I did watch a few informercials...thats how I obtained my George Forsomebodys grill? and poor Joe even got into the action...one time he was so excited about the present he bought me and told me it was coming in the mail. He saw it on an informercial. I was so excited...and do you know what it was?
actually I do not know what it is called, but the slogan that accompanies it is
"Set it and forget it"
I think its some kind of a roaster...and even though you can set it and forget it while it is cooking, it takes at least 2 hours to clean that sucker...thats the part I want to forget...and poor Joe should know better...that is not a gift that keeps on giving...its a gift you want to forget or hide?

Oh please, that is too funny and just a little too close to home. I have learnt to walk away from every 'gadget' I see in the shops or on television. In New York I found a new shop I had never seen before and I was so excited at having a key ring which would show all those lovely photos of my little grandson, but Big Bryan wouldn't let me buy it. I even thought about finding it on the internet. Thank you Rose for saving me from myself. Now what did you call that foot thing?

LOL...wonderful post. It reminded me of gadgets I've bought over the years, with the good intentions of using them. Good grief, still in their boxes. When my son was around 4, he started telling me about all these cool things I needed for the kitchen. Micro crisp, he thought that product was amazing. I was wondering how he was learning of these things. Come to find out he would get out of bed in the middle of the night and watch tv. He had all the infomercials down pat.

I'm laughing at this one. I am the gadget person and I often buy stuff and never open it or then can't find it when I need it. That reminded me, I bought a new Tivo on Ebay, I should go use it.

You crack me up! Good thing I read your post because I have been tempted to buy that egg thing to remove the dead skin on my feet. I think I will stick to professional pedicures - they are more fun anyway :)

Funny, but what Faith says, my daughter tells me all the time.

I never do because I'm afraid it won't work right.

Great blog Roe, as usual!!!!!!!!!

I bought a hand held recorder once. Damn thing beeped every time you hit record or hit stop. So it was kinda of useless to use.
I bought it off of Ebay.
Kinda like a kid sticking his finger in an electrical outlet. I deserved what I got!

That's a lot of handy equipment you have. Good to know that you still find them useful.
