While Thomas Paine did oppose Washingtons owning slaves, his falling out with Washington had very little if anything to do with that issue. His main issue with Washington was over the fact he felt his long time friend had abandoned him when he needed him. After being arrested in france by a plitical rival, he wrote to Washington asking for him to intervene. When he did not, the feud started. Nothing more! I swear you have to be one of the biggest twisting facts lying pricks I have ever ran into!

PATHETIC, can not even keep your own lies straight. Here is what you posted on my blog, notice your facts are different than what you just posted, which i will point out in a sec.....
God bless our troops huh. How many times have you been to Iraq? Or in the Persian Gulf? Or under fire?
Until then keep your stickers off the car if they have the saying GOD bless them. Haing been there 4 times, voluntarily, We protect ourselves. Little prayers from an old lady in mississipi or wherever isn't going to change the mind of an insugent who just threw a friends inside all over my face okay. Glad you support us. But if you really wanted to, call for a troop reduction. You may think the Iraqis need more help, but if its the tropps you care anbout, we just want to see our babies born while we were gone and see our growing children going to school the first day instead of bulding a school for poor kids while our schools here are falling apart. Help the troops, save some money and let us see our family.

Third you say you served from 95-99 in IRAQ????? First war was in 1991, second started in 03. Not one serviceman or woman was in Iraq between those years. So how were you there to see someone die?
Now on to the CVN-73. The great USS george Washington. Funny, your name is never listed on any roster, open to the public, for any of the years you listed. Second it was no where near Iraq during the 95-99 period, and not one soldier on the USS George Washington ever stepped on the ground in Iraq during either war, because of course it was not even comissioned in time to see the first war.
And to your negative comments about the people who are less fortunate. A drunk calling homeless bums. That is a cliche huh.
Dog gone you either have to be one of the worst liars i have ever had the misfortune of running into, or you are just plain dumb. If you are going to lie about serving this country or claim you served in a war, at least get your facts straight, put down the right years the war is actually waged, and put down a military branch that actually sees ground fighting. Last but not least, list a ship that was somewhere near Iraq during the years you claim to have served.
And you call the Bible a fairy tale and call the authors dumb. Maybe you dad forgot to tell you that when you live a lie, it becomes hard to keep up with your lies. At least next time you decide to keep lying, go back look at what you have written before, so that you can at least lie the same thing.
So which is it 3 tours or 4. That is not something any soldier would forget or mess up on. Did you serve in the Iraq war or was it in 1995-1999. Did you serve on the ground or as you claim, the CVN-75 or the USS George Washington. And ordinaces huh.

And your 30 million number. How long did it take you to come up with that number. There is nothing either biblically or historically to base that number on. Just another example of what you will say to try to get a point across. But lets take that futher. If that is a good reson to hate, a made up number, then tell me what nationality you are. I can guarantee that the blood of your ancestors killed a large amount of people both in war and in anger. So lets hate you because your bloodline killed some people! Makes no sense to most of us, but to you it would be the foundation for your hate.
What every person on here should see and probally does, is that you are much worse than any christian ever could be. You hate what you do not know, you hate for no valid reason, and you hate for ever worng reason. History had a guy like you, Hitler. Maybe he is in your bloodline. Again, you state facts that are not completely accurate. You only put in things that fit your small picture of the Bible. You twist things to try to feel as if you are making a point. What I do not get is what point are you trying to make. I mean is your life so pathetic the only things you have in your meager excistence is to try tobash Christians. Were you spanked as a kid by one. Or did a priest molest you. Something had ot happen because I can guarnatee you have never been harmed by a christian, other than maybe your pride. You speak many lies, like you were a soldier who had your buddies brains blew out on your face in Iraq. But yet with a little research and a few questions to the people who know you, you never have seen the borders of Iraq, much less fought there. So why do you do this. Like I have said before, other than when you are shown that what you are saying is crap and you resort to name calling, lies, mis-statements, and cursing, you actually seem as if you have some intelligence in there. So again I ask, why not do something with your pen and mouth that benefits society. Because in here, no one cares, nor will you ever cause one of us to switch to your side. I would address you slavery issue, but it is useless. Your heart is hard and you do nto know what open mindness is. The verses you know are not Gods permission to enslave people, it is simply what laws were made for their conduct. Slavery was an accepted fact back then and the Jews were th eonly ones who had laws concerning the treatment of the slaves. In fact there are more verses in the Bible against slavery. Just as Jesus in the NT told the people that Moses gave certificates of divorce, it was not what was acceptable to God, but yet God allowed Moses to do so because of the hardness of their hearts. But you would not understand that. But to go even further, the beatings you refer to was the acceptable punishment for crimes done by the slaves, but even then it had limits. Also they were to free them after 6 years. This was not done by any culture but the Jews.
You also mention selling you daughter. But you leave out everything that goes with it. The word slavery was never used in those verses, but instead indentured servant. To this day we do the same thing. Someone owes us money, we wrok for them to pay it off. The greek/hebrew word was "doulos" which does not mean slave, but servant who owes a debt. The greek word for slave is "Arsenokoitai" and was used only a few times in the scripture and always was used for people taken in battle.
The rest is just nonsense. Killing children of the enemy was and still is a reality of war. Only in todays society do we put limits on war. And we pay for it.
You mention that the Egyptians allowed men to live. Where in the world did you get that info from. During most of the Biblical period, the egyptians were know as cruel. They did not allow men to live, except when needed for forced labor. And once in, you stayed till you died. So again the only merciful warrior tribe was the Jews. You keep bringing up the whole slave issue and yet we do it today. They did not have prisons or camps. Much of Isreal was scattered throughout their territory. How were they supposed to keep prisoners, they made them "slaves" or working prisoners. No different than what we do today except now instead of working on our property, they live for years in camps. And after 6 years they were allowed to leave or join the isrealite society as free men.
You obvious hate is a joke. Whoever spanked your bottom from your dads church should be yelled at because the did not do it enough. And if your hate stems from that priest who took you in the back room, have him prosecuted and then get over it. You waste you energy trying to prove a point that is not able to be proved. You will never change our minds with your vile, and in fact most sensible people who do not believe would even find your mouth and your views to be a joke and radical. Whatever has driven you to this point, get over it and grow up. You say you have a kid or kids, spend more time with them. Quit teaching them to hate because you are no different than the KKK parents. They teach their kids to hate based on ideology that has no merit and has no reason. Your pulpit is nothing to be proud of. Try to read that and understand what i am saying. Spend more of your time trying to change the world around you, rather than making pointless arguments that are for the most part not factual and absolutely worthless. Maybe you will quit coming to peoples posts and threads who are simply trying to express their views and starting trouble. Probally not, but it is worth hoping. Maybe next time you decide to click on the christian section of the blogs or go into the christian area of the forums, to mess with people who you do not know nor have ever said a word to you, maybe you will think twice.
You talk alot of crap with very little knowledge, you say you respect everyones views but hate the trouble some cause. You are no different than those you claim to hate so much. But although it will probally have little effect on your simple mind, I will try anyway. You claim you have no problem with christians, only despise their beliefs and hate those who cause pain and suffering in christianities name. Well I doubt one chrsitian on here has killed in Jesus's name, started a crusade in the name of God, etc. SO LEAVE THEM ALONE. I never came to your threads till you started crap in mine. If you want respect you have to give it. Because if anything, you cause more issues and division than any christian does. Journeyman, I hope you reconsider. I and many others enjoy and are blessed by your posts. You have a very thoughtful mind and a compassionate heart. This may not reach millions, but it reaches enough. Freethinker or others like him should never be the reson you decide to quit. For whatever reason he has a lot of hate in his heart and may die that way. But remember the story of the prodigal son. Just keep on keeping on and if the day comes that he starts walking back, run to meet him. But until then, God gave you a purpose and meaning. And maybe it is being here sharing what God puts on your heart!
Jesus said because they persecuted me, so they will also persecute you. There will always be people like freethinker, and becuase he is your son it has to be hard, but regardless you have to continue the work you were sent to do! Let God deal with them.
I hope you reconsider, you are a great source of truth here. But if God has led you to a new path, then go and do your best.

Copernicanism and heliocentrism were the reasons he was imprisoned and neither had anything to do with the earth being flat or round. In fact Galileo was not the first one to believe in a round earth nor was the church against the idea.
Aristotle in 330 BC was one of the first recognized persons who said the earth was round. Homer in 7th or 8th BC was another. Eratosthenes in 240 BC was yet another. Ptolemy in the 2nd century was another. The list goes on. Long before Galileo many were moving to a round earth and so was the church.
Just as in the other post, you do not know what you are talking about. Again you lay claim to things that are not true. Get your fact straight, quit using silly websites for your info, and do a little research before you open your mouth, Then and only then, you might get a few things right!
By the way, our beliefs are far from being debunked. Have no clue where you get they are because the only place they are debunked is in your own mind. I got to quit though, you are way to easy. I am going to go now and find someone who actually know what they are talking about! That way I can actually have a debate or conversation with someone who knows a few things. Man you must be tired of being shown how little you know by now!

Well a little advice from a guy who hates to talk...
Not all guys hate to talk, but many do. Maybe it is that way because we think that is a mans way, or maybe it is the way were were raised. Regardless, you have to let us have our space. We come around, maybe not to the point you would like, but we do come to the point we feel comfortable with. But when anyone tries to force us a push us to talk, we back off more. Look for the golden times where men are more eccepting of "talking". My wife has a nack for trying to talk when I was watching football or the UFC. After I firmly told her to back off enough times she got the picture. She learned to respect my wishes more as to the right time and she learned not to overwhelm me with everything. She learned to find the right times but most importantly she learned that if she simply stated that she needed a few minutes of my time, asked when that day she could have it, she got what she wanted. Now she will tell you our communication life has gotten better every day. But she will also tell you that she had to learn when to talk and how much to talk.
Because of her patience, I have learned how to have a good discussion with her and because she does not try to put everything on me all at one time, I am able to comfortably converse with her giving her what she needs without me feeling overwhelmed and suffocated.
Everything in moderation and tact. Understand that men and women are very different beings. We each have our comfort zones and our discomfort zones. I had to learn hers and be ok with them, and she had to learn mine.
BUT, because I love and repect my wife, sometimes Ihave to do things that i do not like. There are times her heart is heavy and I have learned to recognize those moments and no matter what, she gets my time. If your boyfriend can not understand that(and you are giving him his due respect by understanding he is different from you) and he makes no effort to change so that you get your respect and what you need, then maybe it is time to step out of the relationship. It will only get worse. There is a huge differnce between an overbearing wife who feels no matter how her partner feels she has a right to have what she wants, and a woman who respects her partners need to have his own wishes respected. If you are the latter and your BF does not come part way to you, get rid of him and find someone who will come part way to you and give you what you need!

Branham was not Christian for his teachings contradict the bible. One example is opening the seven seals of Revelation:
He said, “I saw seven angels in the form of a pyramid that swept down, picked me up and was brought east to open the seven seals of God” (Commissioned by Seven Mighty Angels). “Who is worthy to open the book and loose the seals? No man in heaven or earth was able to open the book except the lamb that was slain and redeemed us to God by his blood” (Rev. 5:1-10).
The last Bible book is The Revelation of Jesus Christ not Branham. He nor any other sinner only Jesus could open the seals. Scripture is our sole rule for faith and practice so all must agree with it to separate truth from error. Their preachers read the bible through a Branham lens then rubber-stamp his lies with no objective bible study. Christianity is historic and evidential.
*** so the Bible says no man can open the seals, but Branham was the exception......not!!
He said the zodiac and Egyptian pyramids are equal to Scripture in the revelation of God’s Word.2 He has a pyramid shaped tombstone in Indiana. Witchcraft, astrology and New Age all use pyramids and zodiacs for divination which means predicting the future. Mormon founder, Joseph Smith, saw pillars of light and angels. Russell, Jehovah’s Witness founder, measured Egyptian pyramids, changed inches to years, to confirm world’s end in 1914. Nothing happened so he added inches and years in later writings. Their next president, Rutherford, rejected pyramidology. Ellen White, 7th Day Adventist co-founder, predicted the end in 1844, Joseph Smith, 1891, Branham 1977. All had lying spirits in their mouths (1 Kings 22:22). It is biblical to name people who lie publicly (Acts 5:1-10).

The Great Pyramid was the hub of a huge complex of cemeteries. Mummified kings were entombed with vast amounts of gold, food and other things to maintain an opulent lifestyle in the after-life. Poor people were buried with nothing in surrounding cemeteries. In that culture of death dads ended up as mummies. Pyramids have an Occultic alignment with the stars.
Mummies were preserved life-like as possible to provide a permanent home for the soul to cheat death and have eternal life. Evidently the soul did not know the body was dead. The pyramid is an essential point of pilgrimage for Occultists, witches, magicians, necromancers (seekers of the dead) and a place of demons and spirits. All are an abomination (Deut. 18). Narrow passages through the rock allowed Occultic soul travel.
Branham bought into these far-fetched fantasies saying the pyramid and zodiac are equal to scripture to reveal God’s word. A man at Jesus’ tomb said, “He is not here for he is risen” (Mark 16:6). What revelation of God’s word would Branham get from Egyptian cemeteries? Do fantasy-prone followers practice mummification at their churches? Benny Hinn visits graves to get anointing from bones.
Zodiacs are used by witches and astrologers to tell the future and also enabled Branham to predict Jesus’ return in 1977. Astrologers, sorcerers and star gazers are abominable (Jer. 47:12,13).
****Branham believes in zodiac sign and the power of the pyramids. These are not biblical nor did we make it up about Branham believing in it. He wrote it in his books.
In a meeting, Cerullo shouted, “You are not looking at Morris Cerullo; you are looking at God; you are looking at Jesus.” After Elijah went to heaven, his spirit rested upon Elisha (2 Kings 2:15). The same spirit came upon John the Baptist to fulfill Malachi 4:6, “turning hearts of fathers to children” (Luke 1:17).
Only Jesus can restore all things (Acts 3:20,21). Eden Lost will become Eden Restored as seen in Revelation 21. Branhamites, like Hindus, believe in reincarnation saying their founder is Elijah returned. Jesus said, “Elias shall first come and restore all things” (Matt. 17:11). With slight of hand they lift this verse out of context as if it referred to Branham but the next two verses make it clear it is about John the Baptist. God the Father said to listen to Jesus not to Elijah (Matt. 17:3-5).
****Cerullo was Branhams successor. Everything he had was taught to him by Branham!
“Jesus did not say no man could know the year, month or week in which his coming would be completed. I sincerely believe and maintain as a private student of the Word along with divine inspiration that 1977 ought to terminate the world systems and usher in the millennium.”1
Did Jesus come in 1977? On page 10 of The Messenger we are told Branham is “infallible” so is in the same league as Popes. There is no need to speculate for the bible tells exactly when Jesus will return, when you least expect him “like a thief in the night” (1 Thess. 5:1). Prophetic words must be “judged” by comparing them with the bible record for God does not contradict himself (Acts 17:11; 1 Cor. 14:29). Writings of true prophets are scripture but Branham’s do not qualify. The Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship distanced themselves from Branham after he wanted his writings recognized as scripture.
Aug. 3/02: A motor-mouth follower of Branham showed me a copy of a later edition of the book, Seven Church Ages, to prove my above quote wrong. He claimed “divine inspiration” so blamed God for his lies. In the new edition it appears they deleted “divine inspiration.” Truly, a slight of mind and hand as they repackage the lies. In the Bible, false prophets did not correct false prophecies but were stoned to death.
California did not slide into the ocean as predicted (tape: choosing a bride). The USA was not destroyed by atomic bombs and The World Council of Churches did not consume all denominations under control of Roman Catholics by 1977. He should have read his tea leaves again. It is a non-prophet organization based on speculation not revelation. Tune up your balogna detector! False prophets and fortune tellers were killed (Deut. 13:1-5; 18:20-22) and the same thing happened to Branham and Mormon founder, Joseph Smith who was shot in jail. Prophecies, visions and dreams that do not square with scripture are mind delusions and unbridled speculation from fertile imaginations. The ground-hog’s predictions are by far more accurate. Catholic visionaries speak of praying to Mary.

This forerunner of the Taliban with a dictator/doormat, master/slave outdated view of women and no love is like “sounding brass and tinkling symbols” (1 Cor. 13:1). A 2007 study showed that bullying or belittling your spouse causes fear, stress and heart attacks.
Their main brainwashing method is listening to Branham’s old heretical tapes. Some call them tapeworms. “God spoke in times past by prophets but in these last days has spoken by his Son” (Heb. 1:1,2). They lie and twist this Scripture like a pretzel saying, “In these last days God speaks by Branham.” When their motor-mouths start they run memorized tapes. Mormons, United Pentecostals, Crossroads Church of Christ, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Moonies are also very divisive and exercise suffocating control with members on a virtual leash in a cage. If Jesus did not exist before his birth, how could he be “with the Father before the world began?” (John 17:5). Branham corrected Jesus: “Multitudes who were not born again will go into eternal life.”7 Did he mean eternal life in hell? Compare that with Jesus’ words (John 3:1-16). He also said hell is not eternal. We can find forgiveness of sins by praying to a priest if we have the right Priest, Jesus Christ, The Great High Priest (Heb. 4:14). In the Bible, gifts of healings are from the Spirit (1 Cor. 12). Branham said a 200 pound barefoot angel did the healing so he obviously weighed the angel. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:1-15). He spoke of fireballs in his meetings but he is the only one that saw them. Demonic altered states of consciousness produce these mind games. The circus is run from the monkey cage. He is so far from the truth you can’t get a radar fix on him.
In a Winnipeg crusade, a newspaper told of many healings. Later, reporters checked and found all had become worse or died. It was a form of mass hysteria and hypnotism where people see what they want to see. With slight of hand and mind he created the mirage of healing and claimed to discern cancer through vibrations and swelled hands. He prayed for people and declared the cancers dead then said they would be sick for a few days until poisons came out of their bodies. Did Jesus ever say that to people? Branham left town well healed in his wallet but his patients died!
******So his healings were false. And this was not the only time! Over 28 times people checked back on the so called healings of Branham only to find the people he "healed" were in fact still sick or had died!!
And last but not least...the cloud!
William Branham lied..
William Branham claims that on 2/28/1963 he was up in Sabino Canyon 40 miles northeast of Tucson, when he was visited by seven angels who descended to him in the form of an inverted pyramid "V". When they departed be claimed a circular cloud appeared over him and it gradually rose higher and higher going up to the level of 140,000 feet. He made reference to this mystery cloud in a sermon "Rising of the Sun" preached in Jeffersonville on 4/18/1965. This is over two years from the time the mystery cloud appeared.
Here are some facts:
Branham claimed these seven angles instructed him to go back to Jeffersonville, it was time to reveal the seven seals. The visit by the angels was also the cause of an alleged blast so loud and strong that hugh bolders rolled down mountain sides where Branham was at. According to Fred Sothman, a Canadian who moved to Tucson in 1962 to be near Branham, he, Branham and Gene Norman were up in the mountains hunting Javelina when these angels supposedly came to Branham.
Here is Branham's quote:
"Brother Branham said: Science took the picture all the way from Mexico as it moved from northern Arizona, where the Holy Spirit said I would be standing (forty miles northeast of Tucson). And it went into the air, and "Life" magazine packed the pictures: a mystic something way in the spheres there there can be no moisture, where there can be no evaporations of anything, thirty miles high and twenty-seven miles across and coming right up from where those Angels were. RISING.OF.THE.SUN_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-12 SUNDAY_ 65-0418M".
Branham lied! The cloud as he said went right up from where those angels were and he alleged it was the same cloud that appeared the same evening at sundown ovehead in Flagstaff, 190 miles to the North. It is very clear that the mystery cloud that "did" appear over Flagstaff on the evening of 2/28/1963 continued moving in a west to east direction at the 140,000 ft elevation . It appeared such even 28 minutes after sundown. Its shape over this half an hour time changed drastically until it looked like a hangman's noose. Since the mystery cloud was moving in the normal direction of the high winds at that height, and since Branham claimed the cloud went up in the air, we can assume the cloud acted like all other normal vapor or smoke clouds in association to wind direction and speed. There were no winds of any speed on 2/28/1963 that was blowing vapor or smoke clouds from Tucson toward Flagstaff on this date. Branham did not claim the angels went up to 140,000 feet and left a circle cloud. He did not say he saw the angels fly to the north toward Flagstaff and somewhere in that direction released or caused this circle cloud. He said the cloud went right up from where those angels were that visited him. This means the circle cloud had to rise up over Sabino Canyon, continue on rising higher and higher until it was at the 140,000 elevation. And then, in order for it to be overhead in Flagstaff at 1840 MST, it had to travel 190 miles in a short time. Branham lied, Sothman lied, and Gene Norman lied.
Here is a man who claimed such a dynamic visitation with blast and a miracle circle cloud and yet his conduct soon afterward was not at all the least affected. The stories do not match. Sothman said they were up there hunting javelina. Branham claimed different. He claimed in his message at Jeffersonville on 3/17/1963 the following:
"One early morning."
"I got up into Sabino Canyon."
"I want to be honest."
"I'm more inclined to believe that it was a vision."
"I had my hands out saying,: Lord, what does this blast mean, and what does these seven angels in a constellation of, of the pyramid, picking me up from off the ground and turning me eastward: what does it mean?"
If he saw a vision how is there then a natural cloud of some sort that pops outside the vision and becomes real and floats to Flagstaff 190 miles away in les then an hour?
In his message, Branham then goes into a strange account of holding a King's sword.
He makes no mention of Sothman or Norman being with him on this trip.
He makes no mention of hunting javelina.
He makes no mention of THE CLOUD!
The story Sothman concocted years later is a lie. He claims the Cloud and angels visited Branham when they were on a hunting trip together and Branham claimed he was alone when the blast and cloud appeared. Who is lying here?
Here are some more facts.
Branham claimed he he went up to the mountain early in the morning. He claims the cloud appeared early that same morning. Yet according to recorded facts about the mystery cloud, it was being blown by 130mph winds at the 140,000 foot height going from due West to due East, AND IT WAS 6:40pm in the evening right at sundown when it was passing over Flagstaff 190 miles north of Tucson. No winds were blowing from Sabino Canyon toward Flagstaff, South to North, at any height that day.
Branham made a big deal of this mystery cloud when he discovered it via newspapers and magazines. He used this cloud and his claim it was caused by seven angles who visited him, to make him look more the prophet Elijah. He placed a lot of emphasis on this mystery cloud until he boasted of it a whole year before he was killed on Christmass eve by a drunk driver in Texas. He came out with this claim the cloud was made by the angels in his message dated 4/18/65. He was to live just over eight months after this message!
Here are some more things to think about:
If anyone else had such an encounter with seven angels and a blast so violent it shook rocks off mountains, it would be something you soon told. The next time you were before a congregation you would mention it. Especially if the angels picked you up by the hair of your head and turned you eastward.
The first message Branham preached after the mystery cloud appeared on 2/28/63, was in Houston, Texas on 3/04/1963. You can read the transcript of this message over and over and not find any mention of the CLOUD or ANGELS or BLAST that shook rocks down mountain sides. Now 2/28/1963 was on a Thrusday. He went back home that day and told no one. Get that, he told no one about what he supposedly had experienced, not even his wife! He did not call anyone and tell them, not a single member of the 600 size congregation there. He went to bed that night and got up Friday (April 1) and departed for Houston, Texas. He arrived in Houston on Sunday April 3rd. On Monday, April 4th he preached his sermon "A Absolute" http://nathan.co.za/message.asp?sermonum=918. Get that, four days after this explosive encounter and the cloud he is preaching in Houston and NEVER MENTIONS THESE THINGS!
He departed from Houston and NEVER TOLD A SOUL!
Branham then goes to Jeffersonville where he preached on 3/17/63 "God Hiding." He again MENTIONS NOTHING OF THE CLOUD!
He preached on 3/17; 3/18; 3/19; 3/20; 3/21; 3/22; 3/23; and 3/24 in Jeffersonville revealing the seven seals. In his message entitled The Breach Between The Seven Church Ages And The Seven Seals (63-0317E) he mentions the seven angels and the pyramid shape of their descent. He NEVER MENTIONS THE CLOUD. All he mentions is the V shape of the angels as he says they appeared to him.
The facts are clear. Branham did not make use of the mystery cloud until after he learned of it whenit was published in Science Magazine on April 19, 1963. Branham did not discover this magazine until many months after it came out. It was the article in Life Magazine on May 17, 1963 that the cloud first caught his attention and he made use of it. All the pictures of the mystery cloud used by Branhamites come from the stories in these magazines. Branham outright lied when he said this cloud is the same one he claims the seven angels made when they came and departed from him.
The fact is, this cloud is not a vapor cloud at all. It is a cloud of smoke and the remains of rocket fuel from a Thor rocket that had been launched the afternood of 2/28/1963 at 1:52PST at Vandenburg, California. The rocket was blown up at 147,000 feet because of a malfunction. At this height there was a west to east wind blowing around 130mph. The smoke from the explosion formed the circle shaped cloud. The jet stream winds carried the cloud due east from Vandenburg toward Flagstaff, Arizona. Because of some lower clouds this one was not observed in Arizona until around sunset. The cloud remained sunlit for 28 minutes after official sundown in Flagstall. Giving account for the curvature of the earth and it being seen as far away as Elpasso, Texas it was estimated to be 140,000-147,000 feet high exactly on the same level as the smoke and vaporized rocket fuel of the destroyed Thor rocket.
The issue is always made out that water vapor does not exist at this height because it is between -40 and -60 degrees. It is claimed that because it is not natural for such a cloud at this height except over the Arctic (nacreous clouds). Therefore it is a miracle cloud and angels visiting Branham created it. Reports from all the magazines and from James McDonald are used to prove the cloud is a miracle cloud and has no earthly explanation. From this a leap is made to say this verifies and validifies Branham's claim it was created when the angels visited him 40 miles north of Tucson.
As stated already, there was no wind blowing from Tucson toward Flagstaff that day at any elevation. And do not tell me the angels carried the cloud 190 miles north and then released it to then be blown further East by the West jet stream.
The cloud hoax is another of Branham's lies. It is another lie still used by Branhamites to make his false doctrines acceptable by means of these miracles.
Branham lied. The mystery cloud came from the explosion of a rocket, not by seven angels.
The fact that Branham did not mention this cloud BEFORE he learned of it from newspapers and magazines, is easily seen. If he had mentioned this cloud in his Houston trip we could come better believing him. He did not and to me this translates that he never saw this cloud and he never saw these alleged angels forming a cloud.
Hope this enlightens many and makes the rest think. Branham was far from a prophet and def not Elijah. But he was a fake and a conman! Beware anyone who litens to his teachings.

Although I believe prophets are real and biblical, Branham was not one. The very fact he claims to be Elijah moves him into a category of lunatic. Where in the world does anyone get that Elijah will return, much less reborn. That is not a christian view, that is a view of re-incarnation. So God is powerful enough to whip Elijah into the air, but yet has to bring him back in order to prove his power, but yet has to do it through a birth. COME ON!!
There is nothing in the Bible stating that Elijah will return, nothing. So this is just a lie Branham used to gain followers and it worked. But he is not the first. James Ressor a pentacostal preacher claimed to be, he claimed to have signs and wonder just as Branham and has pictures too. There are many more who claim to be Elijah and most are in the Pentacostal faith. Odd huh..
Most cults today have a leader who claims to be a prophet, a reincarnated Bible figure, or Jesus himself. Branham was no different. He claimed to heal so many, but yet died of a common cause. He claimed to heal others but could not heal himself.
Here is scripture that debunks the need to have prophets today. There are 4 phases in the Bible. Pre Christ where very few could read much less have scripture. In fact much of the scripture was not written yet so God spoke through prophets so that the scriptures could come into our lives.
Then you have the phase that was Christ on earth. He came to witness and die for us. His life was our proof!
We are now in the third phase. Post Christ. He gave us a completed scripture and we were to become teachers of the Bible.
Final phase of course is when Christ returns.
The need for prophets is gone. The scripture tells us that the word si concluded and final. There will be no more to be added. But also the Bible tells us that in those days God spoke through prophets, but now he speaks through his son Jesus.
“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son” (Hebrews 1:1-2).
When anyone tells you that he is God incarnate or a figure in the Bible incarnate, you must run from him. God does not practice reincarnation, hence Branham has to be a false prophet or the Bible is a lie. I for one believe that the Bible is truth, not Branham.

What is really funny, freethinker you would not stand a chance with me in a head to head debate on either the Bible or evolution. That is because your knowledge is very limited! Such as....
Evolution has over 130 different forms, in other words there are at least 130 different views on what evolution really is. If you took all the different types of churches in the Christian faith who feel a little different about theology, you would still not match the very different views in Evolution.
2nd Evolution has "evolved" hundred of times. In fact the founders belief of Darwinism is very seldom used anymore because science has debunked a lot of it and each year more is proven to be not possible.
Darwin taught that blacks, asians, and other minorities have not fuly evolved yet. In one of his letters he even went as far as saying they were the missing link. In 1983 a copy of this letter was found in the Arian Brotherhood's headquarters after a raid. This was one of their driving points to prove in white supremecy.
Darwin believed and taught that within 200 years mankind would no longer excist as it did in that day. He laid claim to the fact that within that amount of time we would evolve into a higher being. Sad to say we have not, in fact in the last 8000 years of recorded literature, no evolution has been seen. NONE! Have animals adapted, yes, but going on the theory of evolution, for some odd reason it has stopped! But of course you would say it takes millions of years to do so never taking into that reasoning any science that show 1/100 of that amount of time would cause such an overpopulation of the animals waiting to evolve that nearly if not all would go extinct due to over population and lack of food, both meat and vegetation.

I have seen people like you all my life. They have no respect for anyone or any view different from their own. Problem is they know very little about their own beliefs, but try to make everyone think they know all not only about their own belief but everyone elses. But I will tell you what, because I feel sorry for you. You go study for 60 days both of my faith and your beliefs. Come back a little more informed and with a better attitude and we will debate. LOL is this the best you could do. I bring out every one of your so called verses and show how you only use a portion or completely BS the verse, and this is your best.
So you want God to write a book , that will give every law and punishment for 10000 years. My house could not hold the amount of books it would take. See people like you try to make it out that the same result back then should be the same today. But that was not the intent of Gods law. He gave the governement the right to make the punsihment, as stated in many verses. The only thing that does not change si the morality of the Bible. You love the old testament for trying to prove something. The difference is that with the death fo Christ, many of the rigid laws became void! Such as which meat to eat, sacrifice of lambs, etc. But Gods law on rape, murder, stealing, etc did not change.
And by the way, I never, nor do most Christians say the "punishment" should not apply today. We that actually know the Bible, know that God even then gave man the ultimate decision on the punsihment. You show verses where the punishment was being put out for all to know. Same as when a new law is passed today, it is put out for the publics view!
But please do not get onto interpretation. I simply gave the whole verse, you interpreted and did so badly. You interpreted in a way that would try to fit your small mind. But as I said before, I guess you were counting on NO ONE knowing the bible, opening the bible and reading what you said was there, and you never expected someone who studied theorlogy and Greek/Hebrew to come in and debunk your crap.

Your first claim women who were not virgins.....
It clearly states that a woman who claimed to be a virgin, second if the man claims she is not and is proven to be a liar, HE is to be punished. But if she did break their vows, because vows of marriage started long before the actual ceremony due to the fact many marriages took 7 years to actually come to fruition. And if he lied, he can not ever divorce her no matter what she does. This was a great punishment in those days. You left out quite a lot!
22:5 Again you left out the rest of the verse. It says that BOTH a man and woman may not cross dress.
22:23-24 is one of your best so far! You claim it says that if she does not cry out loud enough. Never says that! In fact it say IF SHE DOES NOT CRY OUT. The Greek word used in that scripture is Ajdialei aijti, which translated is to complain or cry out without ceasing. This has nothing to do with her crying out loud enough, in fact the word loud enough is not in any translation. It means if you did not report it then and after, she can not say later that she was raped to try to get away with it. You knowledge is small!
15:7 Again you left out everything. You only referred to one little section when the whole thing clearly says that if a SERVANT tells you he loves you family and never wants to leave, then you mark them.
In those days and now, winning armies take prisoners. Funny thing is the whole chapter tells Israel to release them after 7 years. We have prisoners in our jails from wars longer than that.
Duet chapters 13-14 NEVER says to take the woman to yourself. Not sure what you are reading but it is not the Bible. The only reference to spoils of war is very brief, women are not mentioned, and they are told to destroy all spoils. Get your crap straight!
Duet 21:16 is a good one too. First the custom back them was that a daughter was to receive a large sum of property when she is married by her husband. The husband now becomes responsible for her. You have conveniently left out where in Duet it says clearly that a woman and a man are to be punished EQUALLY for the sin of adultery. Your last verse shows nothing but the punishment for a man humiliating a woman. He must take care of her and would never be permitted a divorce from her. There is no inequality in that law, it was simply the law. For the man to be forced to wear his shame for life was the greatest of punishment. Same as the first killer had to wear his mark of shame for life!
You said in an earlier post you are armed to the teeth, which is a joke. You do not even have a spit ball shooter. You have little knowledge which most likely comes from joke websites. And no most people do not cheat because they are missing out on something at home. They do it because they want to. There are some who do justify their cheating because of what is lacking at home. But sometimes when your partner is "not doing it right: maybe soem of the reason is you. If one spouse is not lighting the fires it becomes hard for the other to do so either. Both have to take a step back, talk openly to each other, and work together to fix the issues. Cheating is just a cowardly way out!

I hate that you went through this and I would love to be the one who hands a little back to your ex. Most men who act like that do so because they are weak. BUT....
If you are a chrsitain, abuse is not a reason to break your committment. Does not mean you have to stay in it. But divorce si only authorized by God for infidelity. Many times what comes later in a relationship was obvious at the beginning or soon after. But we choose to ignore the warnings because we "love" them. If you are a christian and going through this, the only option you have is get safe first and foremost, but after that you hit your knees. If that person chooses to begin a relationship with another, you are free under Gods law. But if they do not, you keep praying until the day comes that S.O. finds God and changes their life or until they release you from your vows by moving on!
I know it is tough, but who are we to walk away from what we committed to when Jesus took everything we had to give and kept on loving.

You say christianity promotes the mistreatment of women, homosexuals, and others. You do not know what you are talking about. The bible clearly states that women are to be treated with respect. We are to love them as ourseves and as Christ loves the church. This was a radical idea during those days and even some places today. Just because a few bad apples(which by the way, christians were far from being the majority in mistreating their wives) make many look bad. And on to your homosexual claims, God never told us to mistreat them. In fact we are to love them no matter what. That is what the Bible says. Again just because a few do does not mean we all do anymore than because a few men rape that we all do. Are you a child molestor because a few men are, NO. Your grasp on the Bible is small and just because you try to fit it in to your mold does not make it true!
But keep on keeping on. When your day comes, what will you be remembered for. You unjustified hate fo Christians or the good deeds you yourself did. Because right now, from reading your numerous posts, you are as bad if not worse than the Christians you try so hard to villify!

The answer is easy even for a bleeding heart like you. When you take a life, you forfit your own. You choose to end someone elses life, yours mus be taken. Life without parole seldom means that. There are numerous cases in almost ever state where due to lack of funding and over crowding, lifers have been released, many to commit another killing.
But I guess you do not mind forking out of your pocket the 55 plus thousand a year it teks to keep these animals caged up.

Well I will try to give yu a little advice. You can either listen to it or throw it away. Your choice!
So many christians think it si their job to harrass a person into the faith or force the world into our beliefs. This is so far from what the Bible tells us to do, it is not funny. So many times the word tells us to live it not talk it. Christ told his followers, "i am not here to change rome" which meant he was not here to make Rome change into a Christian nation.
Your husband is yet to come to the truth. He may never, but that is between God and him, not you. You job is to be a Godly wife who loves his her husband and supports him. You are to pray for him without ceasing and God will do the rest. Your example or lack of may be the deciding factor in his salvation. But if you continually drive him away with a better than thou attitude or constant preaching, he may go so far he dies without Christ.
Now I am not saying you do anything like this. But, it is so important that your husband sees Christ in you. The most powerful weapons you have is you life and prayer. These two things could very well be the only chance your husband has. Church is for the saved, it is for our edification and growth. Many unsaved attend church and through their membership find Christ. But any unsaved person will feel uncomfortable in church. Who wants to go to a place that tells you that you are sinning and on the road to hell if you do not repent. None that i know. Your husbands example will come from you, not church. Church will be there when his heart is ready and is being knocked on by God's call. Until then, church will be a place he does not want to go to.
Stay strong, God will either touch his life, or give you the strength to endure and the peace to understand that God has a plan and that the choices your husband makes are his own.

The problem many of us have with your mentality is that you act as if science cannot be wrong and you post alist trying to prove that the majority of Christian scientist and even non-christian scientist believe in evolution. In fact you are way off base.
Anyone can provide a list of those who believe in anything. I could provide a list as long as yours. But nothing would be proved. As far as your "chritian" examples, there christianity is doubtful. You cannot call yourself a christian and believe in evolution. Same as an athiest cannot call himself and athiest and believe in God. Your problem is not what you believe in, it si that you believe the way you believe is the way everyone should believe. Same with many christians. They act as if God intended us to force our views on others. Just as you are obnoxious, many christians are.
And let me remind you of a few facts. Science has been proven wrong many times. There was a day science swore the earth was flat. Many scientist are struggling to maintian a grasp on global warming even as their fellow scientist are leaving the fold, we are seeing some of the coldest weather in years, etc. Science has even changed evolution and its fundementals over 120 times in the last 100 plus years. What you believe today is far from what it began as.
You have the right to believe as you want. As does everyone else. You are not the one who wa put here to enlighten us, now are we here ot enlighten you. But what I do see in you is fear. Every word out of your mouth shows that you fear our beliefs. You go out of your way to try to debunk what we believe in, but you have done nothing but show the fool you really are. You want your freedom to believe as you wish, but you are not willing to give that luxery to others. If we are wrong, no harm no foul, but if we are right, the harm will be great to folks like you.

Child porn is an epedimic. The ONLY way it will ever be brought into control is not through virus attacks, but when normal folks like us raise enough hell that our states legislation passes tough no nonsense laws. Right now many of the folks caught with or distributing child porn get little to no jail time. Until we get tired of our children being exploited and take a stand, nothing will change.
Another big problem is much of the porn comes from across seas. Our political machine is unwilling to challenge host countries in a manner that causes them so much discomfort, that they put a stop to it.
And last, due to over zealous ACLU actions that have made 1st ammendment rights to cover just about anything, internet providers are not liable for what is on their site. They know what is going on, as you alluded to, yet do nothing. Instead of attacking the ones doing the distributing, we need to crash the sites that allow that trash on their servers.
My suggestion is cheap justice. We spend around 50 grand to keep these scum bags in jail when they actually get sentenced to jail. What we should do is put everyone who has been convicted of rape, child molestation, child porn distribution, murder, etc in a long line. Give a bunch of citizens handguns with 50 cent bullets. And give each of these lowlifes a fatal dose of lead. Problem solved!

I agree with you to an extent. Movies dating back to the late fifties and early sixties were movies that depicted the average morality of the nation and tended to be conservative. Ben Hur, moses, etc. But since the sixties, hollywood has moved in a beeline towards liberalism and trash. The Reagan years were no different. There were some good movies put out during that time, as there is now. But they are the minority.
No one with a little sense would claim Hollywood has not been on course with a liberal agenda. Most actors today are huge supporters of the left. Many have even dined with our enemies committing treason or close to treason. Danny Glover, Sean Penn, etc. They own the theaters, do the directing, write the scripts, etc and they put in their liberal agenda every chance they get. Hollywood will never again lean back to the middle or the right. Those days are long gone. Funny thing is even most liberals try to seperate themselves from Hollywood and their fanatical views until it comes time to raise money.
You stated that Hollywodd may move back to the left because of the war and economics, they are already there and have been for 25 plus years.
The comment by Clooney to heston show exactley where Hollywood stands. He said heston got everything he deserved because of his politics, being the NRA president, and his politics. The nerve of this guy to say Heston or anyone deserves a disease because of his political views is attrocious, but this is the mentality of Hollywood. Sean Penn made a comment that every right winged asshole should be locked away for life because they have tried to keep this country in the dark ages. He made this comment just 6 months ago. Now on to the comment. Although we want to believe that God takes all aborted children to his side, and he very well may. But there is nothing in the bible to prove it one way or the other. Messages have been taught for many years that claim there is an age of understanding, (a child that dies before a certain age goes to heaven) although this very well may be what happens, it is not stated in the Bible. It says we were born sinners and all sinners must accept Christ. So we really do not know. I believe from reading about Gods love, mercy, and his warning to never cause a child to not come to him, that he does accept children into heaven if they die before they can understand salvation. But I cannot show you in the Bible anything to back that up. Same goes for aborted Kids, I believe that they instantly join Christ, but I cannot show biblical proof!

I can understand where you are coming from. BUT....
Socialism(government ran welfare) is not what is godly or good for this country. The very idea that somehow God supports folks sitting on their butts allowing working america to pay there way is not a christian value. And to top it off, why would we want to immulate programs many Euro countries have that is close to a bismal failure. Taxes would double and our debt woudl triple if free healthcare was brought into effect.
Green issues is important to a point. Many of us do believe in conservation but not silly extremes like the Kyoto Treaty. We do not put a higher importance on squirells as we do human life.
And the death penalty is a Bible backed idea. To say otherwise is a follish notion. Both the old and new testament gives the government the power to protect through war and execution. Paul said that the government is given the power to kill to protect and I would be happy to back that up with verses if you so desire.
I respect what you have said, but long before a Christian can consider economics or environment, they have to look at the biblical stance the candidate has towards life in womb, gay marriage, punishment for crime, etc.
And yes you are very right. Many a republican has turned into a godless candidate. But as a whole the democratic party stands for many ideals that are in serious contradiction to the Bible. Including the two running now!

Problem is, when a person chooses to take th eoffice, they must expect to be scrutinized more than the average person. And yes, if they choose to break their marriage convenant, their honesty comes into question. It is not so much the public wants perfection, they more want honesty. To make a mistake is human, to hide the mistake till caught is cowardly. And a mistake becomes a lifestyle when it is a common occurance.
Problem with politicians is we quit putting Abraham Lincolns in and started putting rich, spoiled, attorneys in power.

I resoect your post and agree with the need for prayer in this election and all elections! But rest easily, Bush was not perfect, but God put him in power for a reason. And we in this country are safer becuase of his tough stance. Hundreds of attempted attacks stopped because of the agencies he set up and laws he passed such as the patriot act. McCain, while no pice of cake, again was put here for a reason by God. I believe he was the only one who could keep Obama out of power. No matter what, a christian cannot support a man/woman who openly defies the law of God. Well i have enjoyed our bantor. I am not that up to date with the 1000 year rule. Only that those who find salvation during the tribulation and survive will rule with Christ, have children, etc. Their children will have to accept Christ just as we do. I believe if they have not by age 100, they will die!
But as far as the rest of what we have discussed, we will have to agree to disagree. I can post a ton of verses that back up my views as you have posted for yours. It is your blog so i will not.
But I did notice that you called us who believe in pre tribulation rapture false prophets. In the future, maybe you should refine that statement. Our disagreements on a subject like that does not fit the mold of false prophet. For instance, many pastors and church members have argued the fact as to weather or not christians may drink. Both sides have valid arguments, and both might not be wrong. Christ says that he gives freedom in Christ to his followers and each person will be given his own commands from God. God knows that I had issues with alcohol on the past, so I am convicted not to drink, but for you he may allow you to enjoy a drink.
False prophets are strictly defined in the word of God, and neither of us fall into that catagory. Jim baker did. Do you get what I mean.
Neither of us is God nor do we know all. So we have relied on our own readings and what we have been taught to decide what we believe. Since either of our theories could be right, wrong, or a little of both makes us simply earthly Chritian. Because of sin we do not have the knowledge that God intended for us so we are blind. No matter what side of this argument you fall on, it does not matter as it will not decide your place in heaven. Gods word makes it clear that the only way to heaven is to accept christ as your personal savior. You can not earn your way there prior to salvation or after. In fact it says all of our works are as dirty rags. many christians fall to the wayside and even die living away from Christ. They will still see heaven, but as tearfully and heartbroken men or women because they will stand in the prescense of the almighty god who died for them. But because of the blood of Christ, they will be accepted. Hence the rewards and crowns for the works you have done, but even those we lay back at his feet because what we have done does not stand up to what he has done!
Please by all means, confront those who are trully false prophets. Those who teach ungodliness from their pulpit or from their mouth. Such as, there is no hell, all go to heaven, Christ was not born of a virgin, etc. There are absolute truths that are not up for discussion, and for anyone to teach otherwise, they are a false prophet. But for all the other areas, they are grey and everyone will develop their own interpretation as to what they see and read. Hopefully they go to prayer to find what they believe, but their difference from your belief does not make them false prophets.

Now back to the issue. Darby is the one who brought the idea of the rapture of the church to the mainstream, but it was not a new idea. And again I misspoke, yes there will be more than 144000 saved during the end times. But the 144000 is the beginning and are to be the evangalists during these times. But again through careful study of the Bible and the predictions of the end times leads most scholars to believe that current christian will be gone due to many verses and comments, but here are a few.
First, there are a few phases to the end times. There is the period leading up to the end times where we will see God's predictions coming true....War rumors of war, the reinstatement of isreal, etc. These are Gods final warnings his mercy is coming to an end.
Then the rapture(or in your case the beginning of the end).
Then the trumpets, seals, 7 years, etc. This will be a time of great horror where man will have a short window to accept Christ. Once the seal of satan is taken, the persons fate is sealed...no possible redemption.
Then the great battle
Then final judgement
In the midst if this you have the 1000 year rule...the release of satan etc. But to list everything I would have to start a new blog...lol.
But again, the bible shows for most to see that we who are saved will be spared the horror of what is going on. No longer are we needed here. God will show himself through the horror(judgement)
The end times are different from the final days. We will be here to see the beginning up to the trumpets, seals, etc. But we will not face the judgement of the world( or their last chance).
Revelations speaks many times as to why God is bringing such pain to the world. It is mentioned many times that it is for redemption of those who choose finally to accept. It never mentions, not once his current church. Revelations is so meaningful and discriptive. Why would Christ warn the world of what is coming, and yet not once mention that his current followers will be involved in this mess.
Again, you are quite intelligent and articulate. Way above me, but sometimes we try to read too much into Gods word and try to find the DEEP meaning to what is said when the whole time simplicity was smacking us in the face. Christ tells us through revelations that the horror is Gods last grasp at his beloved that have rejected him. It is nothing more than the holy wrath of God to all of those who have failed to accept Christ, it is not for us. To suffer for Christ is gain, but to suffer due to Gods wrath because the world rejected Christ is not our purpose. You and I can thank God for our amazing gift of salvation and that because we accepted his gift, we will miss the horror of the end.
But I agree that while we may not be at the end of days door, we are close. And the day draws near where many will perish for their rejection of Christ. Our chances to minister to the unsaved is coming to an end!

And I respect yours, and please do not take offense, I think it is very healthy for Chritians to bantor back and forth. But the problem with your statement is that it completely contradicts the truth of the Bible. It runs along the same lines as loss of salvation which is preached from many a pulpit. As a sinful human, how could we ever be assured of our salvation if we constantly loose it. That message has turned so many off to God and so will the thought that Chritains will suffer along with sinners.
The tribulation is not intended to punish, at least not till the very end. It is to be the worlds last chance at redemption although very few will be saved. Notice the word does not refer to chritians in the end time except for the 144000 who will evangalize. There are many verses that clearly point to the rapture of Christians prior to the 7 years of tribulation like the one that says that there will be two men in the field, one will be taken away leaving the other behind. Many scholars also point to the sudden rapture of the two prophets as a fortelling of what is to be and that they will be the two prophets reffered to in Revelations.
And I used the wrong word, theory, youare absolutely correct as to there are no theories. But before you write things like this, I suggest that you dive into scriptures and find more info. Rev 7 shows exactely why the tribulation will happen. If salvation is a gift to those who accept it, then we will not be here in the end. If it is earned and must be proven, then we will be here. It cannot be one and the same. Since God clearly states that the tribulation is for a last chance redemption for those who have rejected him, then it is not trial by fire for us. But for those who have rejected Christ till the end, but have accepted his grace after the rapture, Life will be Hell, and they will face more persecution than any chritain prior.

Actually, you are a little of base. People who have accepted Christ prior to the tribulation will not go through it. There are many verses to back up this theory. The verses you have used refer to those who accept Christ during the tribulation.
The suffering you refer to also never points to end times, nor does it refer to physical suffering only. Suffering can be many things from denying self to death and every where in between.
