I have been there...been the doormat and recently found the strength to leave a situation that wasn't good for me (drugs/alcohol involved)...it took me taking a good long look in the mirror for me to realize a "partner" will walk beside you, not on you! He does have some self esteem issues and...

I suppose our situations are alike...I just write what I feel but if it gives more comfort to someone else going through the same thing, it's a good thing. Glad to know I'm not the only one out there feeling this way! :)
